This review is from someone who played it back in 1998. I love Tribes. Its a quintessential part of my life and growing up. Here's the thing. I get there aren't any Inventory Stations, and Vehicles. I get that we can't deploy huge turrets and modify the game to have a Medium class hold a Mortar weapon. But that doesn't matter. This is Early Access, They've listened well to the criticism to make a great game. Also, what they've done here is special. They've increased the Disc Launchers speed, skiing speed, made movement fun. The hit-boxes are amazing and every kill feels rewarded. When you get an Air-Mail mid air kill you feel like a God. I've been a CS player for years. We all know communities can be toxic. I recently stumbled across the Tribes 3 Discord with the Devs there that welcome you and let you play with the 7v7 pugs. They are very inclusive. Helpful, Chill, and all around great people. I highly recommend going to their channel to kick back and enjoy the elements of Tribes that matters. The community. I've been a Casual player for a long time, but never dived into the competitive aspect of the game. It made it WAY more fun than I ever thought. Everyone helped you understand the Strategy behind each map, which player you should play, and how you need to help the team. It leveled up the Tribes experience. Now just give this game some patience. I want inventory stations too. I want vehicles too. ♥♥♥♥ I want to go to a command station and take over the turrets like back in the day. But I also get that the important element of tribes. The parts that matter- they are here, and they are working very well. Kick back. Open the game. Crack open a beer or smoke whatever you need. Enjoy this game. Its top tier. Lets GO!
