What a lovely gem this game has been!

One of the best survival crafters I've played in years.

9/10

Pros:
- $25 is a steal for what you can potentially get out of this game.
- Beautiful atmospheres and Dwarven architecture to look at.
- More focused progression and less tedium with searching for resources you need.
- Post-LOTR lore is always welcome
- Experiencing areas that the Fellowship of the Ring traveled through.
- Good balance of crafting and action
- Doesn't waste your time with long crafting timers
- Base building is fleshed out and enjoyable
- QOL upgrades as you progress are extremely helpful and let you waste less time doing busy work
- You can carry your character's inventory and progression with you to any game world
- You can change your character's gender and look even after creating them
- Having your dwarf sing a jolly or heartfelt song to get buffs from mining/drinking/exploring is awesome especially since other players can join in and their Dwarves sing along.

Cons:
- Stamina and travel can be tedious in the first couple areas (No fast travel early on)
- No dedicated servers
- Certain weapons have little to no reach so you end up having to close the gap with mass mobs of orcs that swing constantly making it hard to combo more than 1 or 2 swings before having to roll or block (or you just completely miss your swings while standing 2 feet away from the enemy.)
- Certain base craftables need a revamp (Looking at you planters!)
- Fast travel eats up your stamina, so you constantly need lembas bread / ale / or sleep
- Some buffs you get from items at your camp could use a longer duration since traveling to places to use combat buffs can take some time

I highly recommend this game to any lovers of the genre, and fans of LOTR.

The game COULD use a little more polish and maybe some content additions, but as-is, it's an exciting and enjoyable experience.

I'll update this review once I entirely complete the game.

I love the concept of the game, but the tedious managing of resources for troops and production is what kills it for me. If that can be simplified/automated, the game would be pretty solid.

Great so far. Loved the first game. Network issues at the start but will be solid once they release a patch for that. Will update review when I get to play more.

Few kinks to work out but the game is pretty fun so far and being able to have hosted servers to modify is great.

Tried to brick my AMD GPU. Do not recommend. Had to entirely reinstall drivers.

The sequel to the most terrifying lumberjack simulator that I have ever played.

Less scary now due to the 6-limbed waifu that obliterates anything that dares to come in to your personal space.

But they did made up for the lack of spooky by giving us rain effects on wet clothing.

If you know, you know.

Game is a great successor to Dead Space imo. The dreadful atmosphere, sounds, and terrifying things lurking around every corner really keep me on the edge of my seat and bring back the nostalgic terror that I felt as a young teen playing the first dead space game.

Playing on Medium settings with balanced FSR gives me about 60 - 80 fps on average with my RTX 2070 and the game still looks great.

Stuttering seems to become less and less frequent as I progress, but admittedly it was god awful in the beginning scenes.

Hopefully a patch will arrive soon to iron out the stutters more, but it is definitely playable at least on my hardware.

For the price, I'd say it's not worth it, yet.

Multiplayer:
Game feels far too fast paced and twitchy even with slide canceling removed.
TTK feels ridiculously high.
Spawns are atrocious (It's been the norm for newer COD games for a while tho)
Matchmaking is and will always be a joke because of SBMM.
Maps feel uninspired, unbalanced, and claustrophobic.
Desync is an issue for a lot of people as well from what I've seen/experienced/read.

Campaign:
It's cool, but only expect to get 6-10 hours out of it.
Nothing really shocking/iconic happens throughout the entire ride sadly.
It doesn't really touch the originals as far as plot goes.

Co-Op:
Can be pretty fun for a 1st play through.
Nothing dynamic really happens from game to game, so with only 3 missions, it gets rather stale and repetitive.
Either player can restart the level at any time, which can be extremely annoying when you're trying to go for clear times and they don't want to wait for a revive.
Will probably be abandoned by players and the devs after Warzone 2 and DMZ comes to the scene.

Conclusion:

It's another uninspired COD experience so far.
The game's decent, but doesn't really do anything groundbreaking in any category.
Some issues will be tweaked/resolved which should fix some of these cons.
I think it's safer to save your money and focus on the upcoming battle royale.
I'd only pick this one up if it's on sale, and you really need to grind out guns for Warzone 2.

Hands down the best Total War game I have ever had the pleasure of playing. Total Warhammer 3 Immortal Empires is going to be amazing tho!
