truly incredible RPG, about 80 solid hours of playtime in my first playthrough and I am sure I'll come back to it again in the future. the worst part about beating a game like this is you don't get to spend any more time with the fun characters you met along the way. Well worth the money even at full price. Fantasy lives on.

Very fun game, i tried and failed to play through the original twice in my life and it took Redux to finally push me over the threshold. Very excited to play Last Light & Exodus next

around 5 hours in and already this is a great Remedy game. shooting is definitely weak and i think its gameplay is less interesting than both Alan Wake before it and Control after, but gameplay is only half the draw of a Remedy game to me. What it loses mechanically it gains as a story and cinematic experience. any Alan Wake/Remedy fan should give this game a shot, you'll realize where a lot of Remedy's modern storytelling DNA comes from

edit: have now finished the game. very much still a recommend from me, exciting story and full of twists and turns you probably wont expect. the combat sadly has big flaws, but a lot of fights and arenas are well crafted and let you use your tools to the fullest. The final boss fight on the other hand is a massive pita and had me pretty frustrated. but don't let that dissuade you if you're a remedy fan, pick this up on sale or even full price and strap in

AI voices is a definite thumbs down point, but overall one of the most fun fps games ive played in recent memory. Worth trying if you like shooters with lots of destruction

a bethesda RPG through and through, that looks better than its priors and plays better MOSTLY. still marred with not great writing sometimes, weird bugs (but much less than launch skyrim or FO4), and performance issues, but it is much greater as a game than the sum of those problems. would I suggest spending $70 currently, if you're on the fence? probably not. but if you're a bethesda fan w/ hundreds and hundreds of hours in their prior titles, this will absolutely satisfy you and is clearly going to get a LOT of love from the devs and fans moving forward in terms of content, xpack or modded.

great example of a licensed game done right. fun arkham style combat, punchy driving, enough content to keep a casual enjoyer busy for 20+ hours, and a story that is a fitting addition to the Fury Road universe even if it loses its steam a bit at the finish line. If you like car combat and bashing skulls while looking damn cool, it'll be a great fit.

NOTE: I purchased this game at around 10 USD on sale, 20 USD *may* be a bit steep for some folks taste but absolutely wishlist and wait for a sale at worst. I played the whole game for 35 hours on my Steam Deck exclusively on the highest settings and had good performance up until the last quarter of the game. Once your car gets fast enough, you will notice stutters below 30 for brief moments. Personally it didn't ruin it for me, but I can see how those more framerate focused may find that to be disappointing. Blame Denuvo :P On a full desktop, I imagine the performance is much better!

total grand slam of a remake, improves and elaborates on many mechanics and story elements while paying the fullest respects to the original release. this ought to be the reference point for remakes in the future.

Only gripe I had was in the final chapter I started noticing significant frame drops, and the final boss was at a rough 30 FPS compared to the rest of the games 60+. could have used better optimization at the end there, but I'm also pushing my hardware pretty hard with this game so ymmv!
