Very enjoyable, very original designs and a great art style. Pretty lovely story going on too. The combat gets a bit samey over time but the game isn't overly long where it becomes a real problem. The soundtrack is also pretty damn good.

As someone who's only played Zeno Clash 2 four years ago and barely remembered anything from it apart that it was a huge trip full of just really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weird stuff, I wasn't quite sure how to go into this. After playing it I definitely felt that it tried to go for something a bit more grounded, while keeping a bunch of odd character designs and a beautifully odd setting. This has benefitted the story elements greatly, as I was often barely aware of what the ♥♥♥♥ was going on in Zeno Clash 2.

Playing this made me want to get Zeno Clash 1 and replay 2, because I honestly can't get enough of the sheer originality and weirdness that radiates from ACE Team's games, and I can honestly recommend it.

To sell this as an Enhanced edition is a joke, it has new bugs out of the ass and huge performance issues that an updated game from 2009 really should not have.

Janky as hell but plays great, really has the E.Y.E-feel

Very accurate depiction of Japan. I killed a ton of little dudes in straw hats. Sadly I could not get past the chained ogre at the start, he picked me up and chucked me straight out of Japan.
