Hits a very specific itch of "game you run to make up little stories about in your head". The world is just detailed enough to draw you in, but the real enjoyment in this game comes from filling in the blanks of lore and characterization they give you from both records you find while playing and emergent gaming. Otherwise, it's a very hands-off idle game that's more for low energy/second screen activity than numbers and optimization.

A narrative experience worth playing. The art and sound design are what I would call "cinematic", but it still uses the medium of gaming to great effect. There's clear parallels to NieR:Automata in terms of narrative and presentation but it has enough of its identity and messages to not feel wholly derivative. If there's anything I would really complain about, it's that the navigation isn't great, especially in the later half. I only understood how the waypoints view worked at the very end of the game.

Have you ever played that one Poker minigame that the Mario DS games had? Yeah it's kinda like if that had bosses, buffs, and score multipliers that could go up to scientific notation.

It's pretty fun.

Pretty solid concept. Auto-battle mixed with deckbuilding where your cards are played in a queue and need to plan synergies around that. Translation is a bit rough in places but the card text itself is clear enough, so you should have no problem with regular gameplay.

A game that really shows off why people choose visual novels as a medium.

Alright, actual serious review since I've gotten all the endings:

Ever since I saw the first teaser on Twitter, it was love at first sight. Dark psychological themes carried by strong audiovisual aesthetic? Sign me up. Even with the year-long delay, I was cautiously optimistic. Would the game live up to my mental hype for it? Reading up on some of the author Nyalra's other writings, on his musings on otaku culture and eroge and of case studies of "needy girls" like Ame, I felt like it would.

Though I expected a manic psychological thriller, what I got instead was a hyperrealistic and surprisingly introspective experience on living in the internet. Beneath the high energy, beneath the rush of likes and views and comments, you can get a glimpse of how utterly isolating the internet can be. And Ame is characterized not only by her struggles, but her passions, making her intensely relatable in a way that made it difficult for me to get some of her worse endings at times.

And it is totally worth it to get all the endings.

It's like if someone extended a Rhythm Heaven level and gave it a story mode. I mean this as a full compliment.

As someone who's been playing since almost the beginning of Early Access, I have to say I'm wowed by Project Moon's second game. It helps that I'm already a big fan of card battlers, and the Abnormality battles add a fresh puzzle twist to the genre. There have been ups and downs, but the studio's always made sure to listen to their fans and balance things out in their own way.

That being said!

Please, I hope that for LC 2 and LC-B you take more breaks. As a player, it's no doubt really exciting to get weekly updates, but I worry for the amount of crunch the dev and loc teams have gone through. I would be fine if you spaced out the updates more for your next games both for your health and for an overall better product.
