genuinely unplayable without premium. if you fork over the money for it (preferably during sales) then it can be a lot of fun but the game still has absurd amounts of grinding even with it. kinda ridiculous a game this size has a subscription paywall as a barrier to entry for putting the game in a playable state.

Not sure how to feel about this one. This game has a lot of good, yet a LOT of bad too. For me the negatives are outweighing the positives so far, but maybe that will change by the time i finish it. Still leaving this negative as that sticks out better in the sea of overwhelming love for this game.

- Incredibly limited graphic options/customization. No support for Ultrawide, 60fps cap, No FOV slider, ect ect.
- Needs mods to do anything listed above & any more basic features. Also has a hardcoded graphical setting called "chromatic abberation" which often causes your eyes to feel tired, and rarely headaches/migranes in some people. (me)
- Worst questing system of all time. Genuinely never seen something this unpolished in a game this big. Forget a quest tab or any markers (that souls like fans love to mark off as a signature "feature") Most quests give you little to no hints on how to progress them at all even in dialogue, with the majority just saying some vague ♥♥♥♥ and expecting you to know exactly what to do and where to go. You could argue this with me, but name me a single person who played through any side quests for the first time without a wiki open the entire time in the background. Not even mentioning the overlapping so many quests have and the fact that some can literally ruin parts of your playthrough and lock you out of areas, items, npcs, diaologe, and most importantly endings.
- Amazing story and lore, presented horribly. Not really much to say here. Mostly subjective i know, but applying the logic of the gameplay loop to the story is kind of silly. Having to "work" this hard to find out anything about the backgrounds of characters or any real resemblance of a story similar to how you have to "work" to get stronger and beat more challenging bosses isn't my favorite method of storytelling. Sure you can tell me just "read the item descriptions" or watch some breakdown of it on yt but thats the whole problem. If i need to get most of my information on the story from small bits of text or third party sources spelling it out for me, then the game has done something wrong. It should SHOW me the story and lore through gameplay and cutscenes, or at least speak it to me through diaologe. I am playing a video game for a reason, if i wanted to read a book i would just go do that instead of scouring the text of a ♥♥♥♥ covered sword i picked up 87 hours into the game.

this game might have the worst Qol of any game ever created. Insanely glitchy and riddled with bugs, and every single online lobby has a modder that will probably ruin everyone elses fun. You spend more time in loading screens then you do actually playing the game (0 exaggeration) and literally HALF of those loading screens brick your game so you lose your progress and constantly have to restart whatever you're doing. One of my businesses freezes my game EVERY single time i enter the door, so i'm completely unable to sell the stock or doing anything with it. btw this game is a decade old and has earned 10 BILLION dollars....
