Genuinely cozy social game with creature vibes, camp atmosphere, a guitar to play tunes on, a set of chalks to draw art.

Interactions greatly depend based on which people are in the lobby. Despite overall popularity attracting some folk that don't have anything good to offer, there are still plenty of lovely critters.

a good successor to the classic driving/platformer game with squishy physics and lots different powerup abilities

greatly lacks steam workshop support that would make it significantly easier to share/play custom levels, yet from what i've read it's unlikely to happen due to disney copyright and brand safety as "game that cannot have anything adult"

Early Access Review
It's in early access so there are still accessibility aspects to improve, for example some interfaces might be a little difficult to navigate, some buttons will only have icons and no labels to them (e.g. microphone mute/whisper/say/shout/broadcast buttons), graphics settings are not yet present in the menu and performance-wise there's likely still room for optimization.

But I'm really excited about this platform as it's in the paws of people that have their priorities set right, and the scripting possibilities throughout this are ALREADY fascinating, it's something that stands out immediately as you look at what the community is up to. Creativity feels immensely rewarding, seeing the results of your hobbies become part of the virtual world, ranging from looks and feels to entirely new ways to interact. Most of the creative processes can be done directly inside Resonite worlds, so you can easily collaborate or get feedback. However, even if the game really makes you want to create stuff, you can have just as much fun simply chilling or interacting with other beings.

Currently the main drawback is something not even the fault of Resonite itself, but is shared across most multiplayer VR world platforms – to have significant control over your character's movements you might need VR trackers. I've been playing Resonite in non-VR mode as I do not currently own any VR hardware, and sometimes it really makes you wish that wasn't the case. I believe non-VR mode can still get more goodies ranging from preset poses/animations to keyboard/mouse controlled movements and webcam tracking. I haven't done much research on what's already available in that area, but I'll look forward to anything that benefits non-VR mode from both core and community developers c:

If you haven't seen the gameplay trailer on the storepage (currently all the way after all the screenshots), definitely check it out as gives a pretty accurate overview of what to expect: a fluid, cinematic action-filled platformer. The soundtrack is consistently neat throughout the game.

The storyline is a little bit short and plain – obviously I didn't expect the depth like in Katana Zero – but there was potential to do a little bit more. Nonetheless the game is fun and some of the moves are really cool to pull off.

when played loud, it felt a little short and mediocre in gameplay despite its cool environment

sneaky version was rather fun as you get to pay more attention to the scenery and layout, learn a bit more about your targets, and overall it feels like a whole different thing compared to going in guns blazing

price-wise could be a little cheaper for the value, but nice heist nonetheless

likely overpriced at full cost, but i found the stealth version of this heist an interesting challenge, even if it's not something i would wish to play over and over

Really fun in co-op. Each weapon is handcrafted – most of them have unique mechanics and slick animations. You can create builds out of weapons/scrolls/ascensions found along the way, and it feels rewarding to see them work together in synergy. The characters are smol and cute, each having their own set of abilities and progression.

There's a good variety of enemies; most elite enemies and boss fights are fun. The vault levels with parkour/traps are also nice. RNG can be slightly irritating at times, but the game allows you to rely on your skills alone until you obtain better loot. You can also ask other players to trade weapons/scrolls – a scroll that's near-useless for their build might make a difference in your paws!

If you play a lot, the environments may start to feel a bit repetitive, but their design is really nice, and you may find yourself focusing more on the fun gunplay and unique rewards, than being troubled by repetition.

Works well on Linux (via Proton)

Has its good moments but filled with flawed level design, broken economy and several anti-consumer features with the only intent to force you to spend cash.

Expect events and challenges that require an unhealthy amount of grinding in a very limited time frame, "balancing", which... will put you not only against opponents with pay-to-win vehicles and vehicles that are an entire tier higher than your own, but even vehicles of an equal or lesser tiers that are technologically more advanced and way more superior than your vehicle, because balancing in WT isn't done based on actual strength/weaknesses of each vehicle, but flawed stats of players' performance and biased community feedback. If a vehicle is too strong, Gaijin will "fix" it by raising the repair costs, making you lose Silver Lions from playing, unless you perform really well in it (mind you, your performance will often not be based on your skill and knowledge but instead on pure RNG).

Have something important in your clipboard? Every now and then, the game will gladly replace it with a link to invite your friends, without even asking whether you wanted to copy it. Looking through forums, someone actually lost money 2 years ago from this "intended game mechanic" yet – see for yourself, it's still in the game to make you suffer, just like many other mechanics that make WT what it is.

War Thunder is a little of a paradox – it can be addictive to play, but if you look back on your experiences with it, most of them are really just not fun, more so if you aren't a regularly paying customer.

heck, i loved playing through this one

it's beautifully crafted, all the elements (the story, environments, characters, voice acting, music) fit in nicely to take you on an immersive journey.. and i feel i won't ever forget it
