it's no viva pinata but OMORI contains a narrative that i find Straight Up Beautiful about different people's experience with a deep trauma. extremely smart use of dissonance, certain aspects of the story re-contextualizing others to create a haunting, sad whole. it resonates.

420 edit for an actual, brief review: its no viva pinata, but its worth some thought. while i dont think everyones gonna get something positive out of this one i can still appreciate the message at its core which left me conflicted for a good while, but i think i needed to hear. the story isnt super character driven except for the two leads so dont go in expecting that. as a whole, i think the story prioritizes what its trying to say over the narrative it tells too, although theres definitely plenty to sink your teeth into anyway.

it's no viva pinata but its a heartwarming and touching story that lures you in with its grounded setting and fun characters. command up to TWO persona! while theres plenty fundamentally wrong with its gameplay, i was enthralled by it just as much as i was by its narrative and visual novel mechanics. fusion is really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun, actually! nonetheless persona 4 golden is a game for the patient, but its never afraid to reward the patience of those willing to exert it.

it's no viva pinata but it's a pretty fun level designer thing to play around in and also most of the popular levels are real darn fun too!

its no viva pinata but it's like taiko if you gave it striking, colorful visuals, and toned down the difficulty just a touch. the songs are catchy and happy, and theres plenty of ways to tackle the game with the different characters and "elfins." the background is colorful, but not enough to distract you from the distinct color coded beats. tons of fun, but quite challenging too!

it's no viva pinata but out of most (if not all) free mmo experiences in 2019, ms2 reigns king - the only problem is, that's not a very high bar.

like any good mmo, maplestory 2 has a vast amount of activities you can do. what shines the most, to me, is the opportunity to interact with other people. you can perform music, play multiplayer minigames, play the same dungeon 50 times to make your weapon slightly better - to put it simply, theres tons of ♥♥♥♥ to do. but one of the most glaring issues is the fact that the game puts all this fun ♥♥♥♥ behind hours of training wheels.
the main quest isnt a fun story you can play through, its the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tutorial, and i hate that thats not an uncommon thing for games of this kind anymore.
one thing to appreciate is the option to sell your gold for the premium currency. as someone who is in not very great place financially, this features a godsent. its not without its flaws of course, one of them being the fact that the economy has been dissipating ever since the last major patch. 5000000g went from being worth 250~ meso to 100.

overall, i think youd enjoy this game if you like mmos of the same kind. if youre impatient however, steer clear. theres lots to enjoy, but it takes dedication to find that out by yourself.

its no viva pinata but its a game brimming with personality, artistic flair and clever game design, altogether resulting in a viscerally fun platformer experience which put me into a little personal journey to find other 3d platformer gems that continues to this day. and to this day and probably for the rest of time i can say with full confidence that a hat in time is an extremely unique experience that no other game offers. i could also touch upon how much effort the development team puts into making sure the games community thrives, and the bountiful amount of community content resulting from that but i would probably be writing this ♥♥♥♥ for another 5 hours if i did that.
tl;dr get the game you wont regret it (but if you could get viva pinata get that instead cuz yknow.... its viva pinata dumbass)

it's definitely very very far from viva pinata, but i love it. have about 100 hours on galactic adventures.
