It’s just really sad.

Needs a lot of work. The foundation is decent, and the new engine's work is promising. But it'll take quite a while before it's anywhere close to where Cities Skylines stands today. It's still fun, but a lot of aspects can be frustrating to deal with, and things just "flow" smoother in its predecessor. I'd say hold off for now, unless you're an avid fan like a lot of us.

This game just keeps getting better and better along the years. The amount of content with mods, (now even just Vanilla) can even be exhausting.

It's been a hell of a ride. I remember playing the very early alpha versions way back in 2013, and falling in love with such a novel concept at the time. Now look at it, it's gotten so far and I'm so proud of Tynan for sticking through and turning this game into a true labour of love. Each and every update has been awesome and with the new DLCs, it's just.. *chef's kiss*.

I could write up paragraphs over why this is such a great game, but I just wanted to spread some extra deserved praise. Worst part about this game is the crazy amount of hours you'll play it for.

The wait was definitely well worth it. One of the best survival games out there. Has its flaws like any other, but the development team is always eager to changes given criticism by the testers and community and that's awesome!

Super fun, can be frustating at the start, but as you progress and learn more about the game it's just awesome. Great devs, very involved with the game's development and actively in touch with their community.

best experience from a paradox game I've ever had

great for 10 hour marathons of not knowing what the hell you're doing with your life, 10/10

Game's a great improvement over Shadow of Mordor, however it can be a little rough around the edges, especially in the later stages of the game (Shadow Wars). But the microtransactions that people have been whining about are definetely not that bad. They're completely optional, and it is NEVER even advertised, or forced upon you in-game other than the main menu.

Although the combat and enemies let me down a bit, with only one new enemy type other than the captains and Warchiefs, and the animations remaining almost identical to Shadow of Mordor's.

Great buy for me personally, but I would have probably not bought this for full price had I not experienced SoM prior to buying and playing this game. So I can understand why some critics can be harsher i.e somewhat big presence of bugs, and unpolished features, or bad design choices such as the multiplayer aspect.
