Before playing this game, I highly suggest going back and playing Sorority Rites, The Last Yandere, and Dere.EXE (Which is actually free DLC to this game, make sure to grab it!) as they all have a running narrative leading up to this game. Best of all, they are all free:

In the vein of games like Doki Doki Literature Club, Undertale, and a short list of others. Dere Evil.exe is a game that is made to freak you out and make you say "WTF!?!?! Did that really just happen???"

It starts off just like any other platformer, you run, jump, and platform your way through the stage, but there is something sinister lying just below the surface... something dark... Before you know it, you're drawn into this deep story you never even knew existed and best of all, the fate of the game lies in your hands. So do you do the right thing, or will you go down swinging and fighting back every step of the way?

For a game that only costs $1... there is a lot more here than I was expecting.
