No one's calling Newell names or threatening to firebomb his [mansion?] (Does he live in a mansion? I don't know). No one is demanding a new Half-Life game. No one is demanding anything.

It's just pretty sad and ridiculous that he couldn't take 0.1 - 1% of his cash and just conclude the massive emotional cliffhanger of the huge Half-Life saga. Not an entirely new game -- just a conclusion of the existing story.

You can say that again. It was sad and shocking. And it was equally sad and shocking that Newell couldn't be bothered to break off a tiny chunk of his billions in order to allow someone to make the final Half-Life game and resolve the emotional cliffhanger.

it was a very sad ending for me, and it was disappointing for everyone when valve turned on the sleep mode and forgot about the whole HL series for 13 year.

Just played on ARP dods server.. they kicked me cause i was the other sniper and they wanted it.. what a low life thing to do.. that lady squirrel lady seems like trailer trash and they kick you for any reason.. i hope their server dies out
