Demo Review

Love the initial story bit we've received. If they can keep up the same animation fluidity through entire game, it'll be masterpiece and hit to the level of Stardew Valley, or maybe even Terraria.
We didn't have any good WarioWare alternatives for PC until now.

Awaiting full release

Great social deduction game. Big imporvement on Among us. It's as if someone combined Among Us and Secret Hitler game. Super cool, too sad it'll probably be dead within 3 months...

Definetely more players from playstation (as it's in pass or whatever in there)

Didn't get a chance to play the original 3rd season, but I gotta admin, game is pretty nice.

I love the chapter 1 of episode 3, with it's "Noire-based detective investigation". Chapter 4 was somewhat lacking though, and the "plot twist" of chapter 5 was predictable (or rather obvious) since chapter 1 (if you played any previous Sam & Max games that is)

Some of the cutscenes felt overly long, and there were few visual glitches, but overall - great game, and sad we won't get any more Sam & Max games for the time being.

(+ Probably most of them would get cancelled nowadays)

The First Descendant is surprisingly good game for Nexon.
Nexon is known for publishing P2W, rather mediocre gameplay-wise games. CS Nexon, Maplestory and multiple other already closed games.

But they've decided to use Warframe's monetisation method in that one, making it surprisingly F2P friendly (for now).
Optimalisation isn't the best, but I'm pretty sure it's all due to Unreal Engine. It's known for rather bad optimalisation on weaker machines, and random stuttering, while offering beautiful graphics.

Well, game is free, so it's worth a try.

Second chapter of story locks you midstory from maxing it, cause it requires purchasing a skin....

Way inferior product compared to Town of Salem 1. (Got over 1000 hours in original, 200 in that one)

The sequel's goal was to casualize experience, allowing more people to join without learning the mechanics of ToS 1 (Especially things like Investigator), but that change ended up making game... too dumb. Yea - if you're smart you can still handle on your own, but town is way more random, with bad balance between roles.

ToS1 had rare issue with town being just straight too powerful thanks to good roles in town, but Unique Roles made that system work, having 3 really powerful roles, all of them being Unique. ToS 2 throws it out of the window, giving you access to 5 powerful "Town Power roles" and multiple "broken" roles from other categories that can appear. Those changes the game from being "Social Deduction" into a chaos filled gamethrowing contest. Especially with more casual audience.

More casual audience is also a big problem for people who want to get into the game more seriously. Kids/Trolls will lynch you over "talking too much" without any other reason than that. You'll rarely see any information gathered by TI (Town Investigative), and most of the time it's all thanks to 1-2 people being too dumb to cooperate, giving evils the majority in their decisions.

The only safe place is Ranked/Ranked Practice/Private games, buuuuuuuuuuuuut.... They're all dead. Getting Ranked Practice/Ranked game run more than 5 times a day is impossible. Everyone is filled in All Any/Classic Modes, where they can troll as much as they want.

And just to be clear - I would understand if someone is new, I often help those who really want to learn the game in those lobby, but even learning the game is hard thanks to lobbies filled with alt accounts of already banned guys trolling.

If you're into trolling - that's game for you, if you're here cause it's "Town of Salem but better", or you're looking for Social Deduction game - you're at a loss.

Game was pretty decent, puzzles felt bit on the simple end, especially considering it's prologue that's supposed to get you into the game. Had a lot of connection issues with the host though, would be nice if there was checkpoint system simmiliar to other games (flag triggers - you can start at certain room).

Feels so sad to watch your nostalgic game being crushed by P2W :(

Great alternative for other mafia games like Town of Salem.

Compared to other mafia-type games, there are few important differences that make gameplay unique:
- No "jailor" role - making it harder to verify claims/proven people
- Small amount of investigative roles - At Netsec faction, there are only 3 roles that can use their abilities to gather info without RNG (Enforcer's interrogate - at the cost of not protecting someone that night, Social Engineers Doxx&Stalk - just checks faction of that player and Analyst's "Ask the risk question" - if used right can be easily checked if player is neutral)
- Time limit - requiring players to cooperate to complete goal
- Conversion System - simmiliar to one in Throne of Lies, two players can be converted into Moles, making revealing roles risky

If you played any mafia-type game, ingame manual games it very simple to learn the game, even though some abilities have confusing descriptions in manual - but seeing developer's passion for project, you can expect that to be fixed in the future.
