LEGO® The Hobbit™ follows the story of the hobbit as told by the first and second Peter Jackson movies. It features small changes to add gameplay and humour. Transitions between story levels are narrated by Saruman (Christopher Lee). Cut-scenes during levels also feature character voice dialogue straight from the Hobbit movies.

Despite the game only containing story from the 1st and 2nd movies, it is still a complete game rich with content.
