decent deck based, top down space sim
still in EA so lacking in content, but i did enjoy it

so much good content - I've played for years and still I really have to reign in the OCD

My race of Mechanoids has faced everything from fungus to dragons
They were peaceful helping other races advance, but in the end only we and the ancients remain
and I see their resolve waviering ;)

this game deserves it's mixed review

it is a bit buggy (just one example - putting armor on the ship there would be entire sections that wouldn't work until I reloaded)
it is a bit laggy for me - noticable when I had a big ship with a large amount parts

Yet, I have enjoyed playing it as it scratches that starship building itch in a way no other game currently does
I started off mining until I could get enough research and money to make a fighting ship and I have been tweaking my favorite hull (Samaghana) ever since into my own multi-role money maker - runing missions for cash or just ignoring them for awhile and sitting in combat space capturing/selling other ships

I should say the auto-resolve makes the game for me as I found it difficult to get the ratings without using it

The base/vehicle building in this game is just addictive "just a few more blocks..." hours pass by
Then there is the content the community have come up with in the workshop which you REALLY have to see

First off Rebel Galaxy is 2d not 3d - so space flight sim 2015 it isn't - fun to play it is

Others mention Freelancer, Firefly, etc and those a valid - but somehow when I launch into space in my Icarus Corvette I can hear Scooter from Borderlands yelling... "Catch a Riiiiiiiide"
