What i like:
Graphics is ok
Interesting theme
Bike exploring/battle with upgrades is pretty fun in theory
Free DLC, just few skins but still nice

What i dislike:
Controls! Maybe with controller its ok but with K/B its frustrating
Can get stuck and only way is out to restart level
Limited lives per level! With ♥♥♥♥♥♥ controls and possibility to get stuck this really sucks. With unlimited lives and restart to checkpoint option I would have played more

Achievements(if you care :P):
Didnt play enough to tell

If game looks interesting try it yourself, maybe you like it and 2 hours(refund time) should be enough time to see gameplay or try demo(available in GOG).

Game description is wrong, its not reverse turret defense game! Its Qix(arcade game from 1981) or better known as Xonix(DOS 1984) inspired game(i wont call it clone it have many added elements).

What i like:
Looks and sound good.
Easy to pick up hard to master.
Really old game conspect but with added elements(its pretty much what you see is what you get, so some may find it boring)
Can play with low end PC.
Can be really challenging.
Steam Cloud support.
Have decent amount of content.
Cheap but feels like real game(you can buy much worse "games" from Steam).
I didnt have technical problems(except Leaderboards).

What i dislike:
Can be sometimes more frustating than challenging.
Dont have restart button(you can restart from menu and its wont take much time but with impossible difficulty i restarted many times and wish it have it).
Later levels contain 2 or 3 castles you need to complete row in one sitting, if you complete these once(per difficulty) you can play each individually(but impossible or zombie mode it can be pain).
Looks like game is abandoned by developers so if you have problems you probably wont get any help.
Leaderboards crash game(it was reported years ago but not fixed).

Achievements(if you care :P):

Not bad, impossible perfect and zombie mode can be hard. Capture 300 dragons you probably dont get by end of game and need to grind but its not hard and wont take too much time.

Not(in my opinion) best in series but definitely worth to play.

I recommend to play Borderlands 2(BL2) before.
Please keep in mind i review full game(with all DLCs)/or if i compare to BL2 i also mean full game(with all DLCs) as its the way how to play them now(imo).
Technically very similar to Borderlands 2.

What i like:
Graphics looks nice, you can tell its not new game but still holds up very well.
Runs good and dont have many big bugs(didnt encounter any crash, few times needed to reload to continue quest/or if i was stuck).
Gameplay is solid, weapons feels as they should.
Game is semi open world, bigger areas have vehicles you can drive and also shoot.
Playable characters now talk(with other NPCs and during story moments) and its great, adds more personality and its more interesting to play story with all characters.
Golden Keys(SHIFT codes), can get great gear and they still release codes to this day. Its must be random but i got more grenade mods/shields/class mods/pistols and less other weapons compared to BL2
CO-OP but its optional and you can play solo if you want.
Have many playable characters with different skills and is meant to play multiple times so if you like this game you have tens hours of enjoyment.
Claptastic Voyage DLC is really good, some consider its best in series.
Levels/difficulty is imo better than in BL2, also less content so you can't accidentally overlevel too much.
Laser weapons.
Cryo elemental effect(freezes enemies), Slag is missing but im happy with it.
Low gravity/double jump/slam damage(everybody may not be enjoying it but i like it and helps to distinguish from BL2).
Story is good and interesting see how Jack became the villain(its take place before BL2). Also can see some other familiar characters.
Have many Challenges you can complete to get little bonuses(kill x enemies y times, get x kills with certain gun etc), it feels you always working towards something.
Glitch rarity weapons are good and something different.
Moonstones(BL2 Eridium equivalent) have more uses(Grinder) and drop more frequently.
Mainframe song :P :D

What i dislike:
Much less content than in BL2, also less varied.
Sadly have only one story DLC(BL2 have one great and 4 good ones).
Some maps feels little bit empty and boring.
Good for playing once/twice but not to get max level or complete UVHM.
Holodome sucks, arena is too big and rounds take too long also need to chase enemies.
Much less popular than BL2 so it may be harder to play CO-OP.
Same QOL things like in BL2(dont collect Moonstones automatically, cant refill ammo with one button press etc).
Vechicles steer with mouse, you get used to it but still it would be nice if have option to use keyboard.
When starting with new character you get annoying tutorial text popups you cant close few seconds.

Which version to buy?
Not worth full price, wait sale.
Best and imo only right option is Borderlands: The Handsome Collection(BL2+DLCs + Pre-Sequel+DLCs) even if you have BL2(its still cheaper than Pre-Sequel+SP). Pre-Sequel dont have GOTY(base+DLCs) version, you can only buy base game + Season Pass(or DLCs separetly).

Achievements(if you care :P):
Not bad for such big and replay minded game, but takes some time.
Most can be obtained solo. Some need CO-OP, hardest is complete certain mission with 4 player(mission is not hard but findings 3 other players can be).
For Fragtrap class specific achievement you need to be level 25 to complete it(its almoust full playtrough and need to play briefly CO-OP but CO-OP part takes only few minutes), other charaters can complete theirs with low level and fast.
If you played BL2 then good news is there is no stupidly grindy challenge(no Jimmy Jenkins) :P

Borderlands 2 is over 9 years old but still good.

What i like:
Graphics looks nice(at least with Ultra HD Texture Pack[its free]), you can tell its not new game but still holds up very well.
Runs good and dont have many big bugs(didnt encounter any crash so far, few times needed to reload to continue quest).
Gameplay is solid, weapons feels as they should.
Game is semi open world, bigger areas have vehicles you can drive and also shoot.
Characters are good, antagonist Handsome Jack is great.
Golden Keys(SHIFT codes), can get great gear and they still release codes to this day.
CO-OP and active players.
Have many playable characters with different skills and is meant to play multiple times so if you like this game you have tens or hundereds hours of enjoyment.
DLCs are good and worth to buy(with collection not separetly).
Have many Challenges you can complete to get little bonuses(kill x enemies y times, get x kills with certain gun etc), it feels you always working towards something.

What i dislike:
Difficulty/levels can be messed up if you dont play as intended, you can overlevel so all enemies are way too easy or (second/third replay) can be difficult.
You dont collect ammo, eridium and money automatically[you collect if they are in ground] if you open chest(looting is part of game but still if you play long enough its not fun but chore).
You cant buy all ammo/grenades fast with one button.
Vechicles steer with mouse, you get used to it but still it would be nice if have option to use keyboard A/D.
If you dont have friends who start same time and want play CO-OP its may be difficult to find other players with similiar level(most players now have really high levels)

Which version to buy?
Game is heavily discounted every sale so wait for it.
Not worth to buy base game(GOTY version sale price is only few $/€ more and Handsome Collection is also with reasonable price).
I recommend Handsome Collection(BL2 GOTY+some minor DLC+higher level cap+Borderlands Pre-Sequel+DLCs) or if you tight on money GOTY.

NB! Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary DLC is not in GOTY or Handsome Collection and you need to buy it separetly! Its good but im not sure its worth full price and its not often discounted. Buy it later if you played BL2 and liked it.

Tips to play first time:
First finish main story then play DLCs.
No point to grind xp or loot, missions give enough and weapons are obselete fast you find better ones soon.
Use Golden Chest if you need better gear.
If you just want to play once its not important but if you want replay harder modes later watch your level, dont overlevel much.

Achievements(if you care :P):
Not bad for such big and replay minded game, but takes some time.
You can play solo, only 2 achievements need to play with somebody but it only take few minutes to complete and its not too hard to find somebody who can help you.
Some bosses are meant to play with CO-OP partners so if you play alone you need to grind levels/gear.
One achievement is really bad, you need to kill enemy(Jimmy Jenkins) who spawn VERY rarely, certain mission can help very much to get him so if you want 100%, look some guide before playing!
You need to buy Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary DLC to get 100%

Solid little simplistic(in a good way) retro game. Graphics is nice, controls good. If just to complete then maybe 1-2 hours. If you care time(leaderboards) or speedrunning then much more playtime/enjoyment/frustrations ;)
Adventure mode is interesting but very short. Id like bigger map some collectibles which give some benefits(example shield so you can take damage one or more times, bigger fuel tank etc.
