Great realistic fps game

It's quite telling that there are 3+ years of forum posts detailing an extremely common bug, the GFX State Error, that randomly shows up after between 10 to 45 minutes of playing. No matter the many different solutions tried, over 30 in my case including the usual update the drivers etc, it still keeps crashing both for me and for many other people.

The root problem is Rockstars hilariously bad coding that makes 3 files balloon in size until the game crashes. They haven't addressed this at all apart from the VERY temporary solution to manually delete them after a crash. Wow Rockstar, thank you for giving me another stable 30 minutes of gaming before the files get to 50 mb again and cause a crash. Most missions are longer than this meaning an insane amount of replay, and not in a good sense.

No matter the OS, GPU, graphical options, driver version, etc. you will very likely face this problem. To charge multiple hundreds of thousands users 60 euro for this steaming pile of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ without doing anything to fix it is mind blowing. You have had years to fix it but no, your only focus is on the big cash cow that is GTA V Online. Single-player and other games be damned.

It's a shame really considering the game itself is absolutely amazing when it works. The graphics are beautiful, the story is great, the world is THE best open world I have ever played in, and the attention to detail is mind blowing really. It runs great with everything maxed out at 1080p when it runs at all.

The utter frustration that I have experienced with this game stems from the fact that I love it when it works and just want to play. Constant crashing makes that impossible. I wish I could give this the recommendation it deserves but frankly it is unplayable.

My specs are as follows (yes I use Linux, the problems mentioned above are extremely common on Windows systems as well certifying that the OS isn't the culprit):
