It has been great to play a modern HomeWorld after all these years. The visuals for the ships, background, and environments are fantastic and the soundtrack has that same feel, weapons and hyperspace all having great sound as well. The gameplay is good, I like the return to HW1 strikecraft and formations in general and the UI to select ship classes is great. Would like more ship types in each class, for example only one corvette currently is odd, but assume that will come with the roadmap so hopefully we see alot of ship and gameplay updates.

The WarGames mode has been great for replay with unique upgrades after the campaign and hope to see more added to it.

Only downside I would agree with the majority on is the Story felt really good in the first half, I even liked the new CGI, but it fell off towards the end. It was good, but not great like HW1/Cata. Since it is something you only play once or twice.. I'll give it a pass on overall score. I would say 7.5/10 right now and hoping for more

Amazing remaster!
While the HD release a few years ago was a welcome surprise it was a quick coat of paint on an old engine.

This looks like an absolutely gorgeous recreation of the original game that plays like a more modern RTS removing some of the antiquated mechanics that 20 years of development have given to us while still preserving the core gameplay.

This release has got me back into the game more than I thought, especially finding a thriving community online with Twitch and YouTube.

Yes it has had issues at launch mostly with multiplayer that I can tell as I have had no issues with single player which is mainly where I play. The good news is that this is modern times and patches can come out weekly or multiple times a week.

I know some people still want games to come out "fully done" and if we still lived with dial-up where DVD size games and manually downloading patches from the games website was an issue they might have something to stand on. It’s an always online world now and I frankly have come to expect games to have day 1 and week one patches particularly for multiplayer where the only real test is when thousands of people get to first try to hammer on it.

Overall a great deal as well as I never felt like buying all the DLC for the HD game so at $15 this still seemed like a bargain to get everything with!

A truely great ARGP and successor to D2, with tons of content and details on character builds. Took several years of trying it out before it finally "clicked" and still so much more to learn on top of all the new content coming out evert quarter! With D3 having gone stale the last couple years there has been no looking back, GGG really impresses with the quality and volume of their updates.

First of the Total War games I've played and I can't kick myself enough for missing out all these years! Absolutley great game, love the battles the close up detail of each soldier fighting in hand to hand is just fatastic! Campaign, multiplayer, everything is great and mod support to boot!
