Let's get this out of the way - don't buy it at full price, it's not worth it. The game is a broken mess. They added Unreal Engine 5 on top of an already extremely janky game so what would you expect. Of course it's an unoptimized mess. The game has some major audio issues as well. At least wait for a patch that attempts to remove stuttering from the open world... Or just wait some years for new hardware as currently available hardware is unable to run this game properly.

That said, it's kinda perfect. It's Oblivion. It's the Oblivion we all know and love except with a fresh coat of very good looking paint. Patrick Stewart tasking you to close shut the jaws of Oblivion has never looked better.

This is also the only recent game I've played that has proper 32:9 support. Amazing!

This game is the best game released since early August 2023. It's the only game that runs good on UE5 as well.
Doesn't support 32:9, but it's an easy fix.

For all the 32:9 enjoyers out there stay away from this until a fix. The game is completely unplayable. There is no FOV scaling whatsoever. So not recommending yet.

This game goes to very ultra.

Better Indiana Jones movie than the two latest ones.

The best part about this game was hanging out in Discord chatting about doing our part and so on when early access just started. The game is not.

According to Codex Astartes, you should play some other 40k game instead of this.

The devs are slightly incompetent. Instead of releasing proper ultrawide support doing hor+ scaling they instead opted for vert- scaling. Which no one should ever do! Also, they somehow managed to do proper hor+ FOV scaling in their previous game, World War Z.

2024-10-17 - Patch 4.0 - game still unplayable on 32:9.
2024-12-14 - Patch 5.0 - game still unplayable on 32:9.
2025-02-06 - Patch 6.0 - FOV scaling fixed, game runs very very bad.

All-in-all, this is a really bad PC port of a mediocre console game. Only thing that would make it tolerable is the theme.

The game seems to be the good old Age of Mythology. Also graphics seem to be an upgrade. Haven't played AoM for 20 years or so, so... probably correct.
