Man, that was a long ride.. I have been playing this game for the past year in short sessions and never could complete it. And even though it took me only technically 136 hours , it feels like I played it for an entire year. I came off My Time at Portia hot and had just seen Sandrock in early access back then and was so excited to try it out.
It definitely is an improved and more fleshed out version of MTAP and I prefer the combat and mechanics too. But there's just something about MTAP's charm that is hard to replicate. And I didn't feel that in this game. I am not going to lie, the last 60-70 hours went by quickly because I started rushing the game. The story and missions became too long and drawn out and I started losing my patience. I stopped doing commissions and increased the timer pace to 3x. My only goal now was not to enjoy the game or experience but to finish the Main story missions. I rushed through many missions and I kind of feel guilty about it but I truly TRULY got burnt out.
Whatever it is, leaving how I got burnt out aside, these 136 hours won't be something I regret. The main story was good and I liked the mentions of Portia and other characters from MTAP. It makes the experience so wholesome recognising characters and story plots of the previous game.
I can't wait for the new upcoming game and hopefully will get to play the game without feeling burnt out again.

P.S: My end goal ultimately went beyond completing the story and instead to romance, marry Fang and get babies with him lol. Once I achieved that after the story ended, I decided it was time to put a stop to my gameplay at least for now. It was a long journey but something I'll cherish definitely.

It was overall a good game but I’d be lying if I didn’t say, that I was sorely disappointed with how short the game was. I was surprised when I was already at Chapter 5 in no time.

Still kinda feel that the characters and plot could have been fleshed out more, to give that extra oomf that the game is missing.
Also, the romance and relationships with characters were very shallow that didn’t convince me much. And too less areas to explore ingame.. made me want something more.

But yeah , ultimately, while playing the game, I still enjoyed every bit of it.
Hope they bring out more dlcs for more backstories.. I wouldn’t mind a LARP DLC.

No one told me this was a zombie survival game.. My heart and I feel betrayed to the core. Was expecting only wholesome relaxing cat simulator lol. I hate the zurks, they're just zombies in disguise.. but overall, an okayish game. 7/10 so far.

SUCH a heartwrenching game .. I hardly feel sad or emotional playing games, but this takes the cake. All I can say is that It’s a tearjerker.. The story is sad and tragic but strangely soothing and beautiful at the same time.
I absolutely loved the concept of blinking (via webcam) that makes time pass in-game. So innovative and one of a kind!
the game has been so well made.. I can clearly see how much of thought and emotion has been put into it. Truly deserving of the awards it got!

If you’re feeling the emo vibes, go play this game :( you won’t regret it.

Tried it out since it's currently free to play and I'm an avid fan of detective games. I would have purchased it IF it wasn't so boring. I wasn't pleased with the lengthy and drawn-out tutorial which could have been explained in a few lines, articulately. It failed to pique/retain my attention.
The art looks amazing and the actual premise of the gameplay is quite interesting. Having to find the killer by moving pawns, as if it were a chessboard, was a unique experience for me. I would have enjoyed it a lot if it was made into a single-player story-driven game. It's such a bummer that it's only online coop. And judging from the other negative reviews, the playerbase is too less for actual smooth matchmaking.
It was a hit or miss. Disheartening that it was the latter. This game could have been really great if they approached it differently.

This is exactly the relaxing and peaceful game I was looking to play, right after I had completed Elden Ring, which is mostly stressful and heart-racing ( <3 GOTY for sure ). It was a good change of pace, environment and gameplay that I happily welcomed.

It's a wholesome game and I daresay, very VERY addicting too... I CAN'T stop playing this game nor can I stop thinking about it. I would be studying or doing work but my mind would keep on drifting back to my in-game commissions, game achievements and quests.
Also, the really fun aspect about the game is that the quests aren't a bore. It is quite grindy and sometimes, repetitive, but for someone who hates grinding A LOT in other games, My Time at Portia doesn't feel like a chore at all.. I'm pleasantly surprised too but I do enjoy every moment I spend playing it! The game is rife with things to do and I just can't stop playing it.

definitely keeping the upcoming My Time at Sandrock on my wishlist now!

I still can’t believe my GTX 1050 (i5 8th gen, 8GB Ram) can run this game with 1080p, 30 FPS . It’s NOT amazing numbers but hey, it’s playable for me. I can easily fight bosses and mobs without issues or heavy stuttering. SO, writing this early review to give hope to all GTX 1050 players!! GOOD LUCK! Amazing game so far.

Edit: I completed the game and I must say, WOW! The world is so vast and boundless and went way beyond what I expected initially.. also, the sheer number of bosses scattered around the map was truly astounding! Every boss that I defeated made me feel like on top of the world just as always in every soulslike games...The thing I'm most amazed about the game is how the open world didn't feel empty nor repetitive..all bosses or mobs in different areas looked different and had different skillsets.. As a big fan of open worlds, Elden Ring didn't disappoint at all.. TRULY deserving of a GOTY.
I've already played other souls-like games so ER wasn't too difficult for me except for a few bosses.. but it might pose a challenge for new players.. One thing tho.. with Mimic Tear, the game becomes easier.. by a lot. And if you face too much difficulty, just look up meta overpowered builds (currently, bleed ones i think) and your game will be a breeze from then on.
I am so excited and hoping to see many DLCs especially hope there is one where we can battle against Miquella! Fingers crossed!
