Favorite franchises: The Elder Scrolls, Deus Ex, The Witchers, Grand Theft Auto, Dragon Age, Warcraft, Fallout, Hitman, Far Cry, Total War, The Sims, roughly in that order.

I'm an avid fan of open world/level or sandbox games, be it an RPG, strategy games or a more action-oriented shooter, as long as there's deep sense of immersion. I was also very much into the CRPG and RTS of the 90s (those Black Isle, Interplay, New World Computing, Westwood, Origin and Troika titles), though I think the current iteration/revival of these genres from a bygone era doesn't exactly represent the best the modern industry has to offer, since both the industry and video games as a form of art have moved on. I was also open to the genres of fighting, racing and sports in the past, though I no longer play them extensively today.
