A spectacular game, that intelligently mixes action / beat’em up and rhythm. Solid character design, great writing, it’s no mystery since it came from Tango Gameworks, an acclaimed studio that nobody in their right mind would think about shutting down after a game like this.
I mean, you would have to be fantastically dumb to look at this studio and say, yeah, we’re going to close these guys off. How extraordinarily bad at your job as an exec would you have to be to take such a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ decision? Thank God nobody is that terminally brain dead enough to do that.

A simple concept, a highly addictive execution. For $15 or less, it's a steal, guaranteed to keep you busy for hours and definitely worth your money.

The E3 2015 reveal was atrocious.

After months of a terrible marketing campaign by Bethesda, probably trying to appeal to console players or Halo fans (who knows), all it took was one single video published 24 hours before the release of the game to make me wait for it impatiently.

Yes, Doom (2016) has all the brutality, the pace, the countless monsters that the original Doom games had, making Doom 3 look like an unfortunate mistake. It has brilliantly managed to restore some of the original Doom feeling - even with the labyrinthic maps, to a certain extent - and modernized it to todays standards. Who needs auto-regen when there are glory kills? The gameplay, making it mandatory to constantly be on the move, is brilliant.

And while I regret the absence of jump tricks, making the Multiplayer a rather forgettable experience, the Campaign is everything a Doom fan could ask for. Thank you id. Thank you for making me believe in Doom again.
