A realistic medieval world with no magic

The game looks and runs great—they optimized it really well.
Both maps are fantastic, with beautiful castles and landscapes. I do wish I could enter every building and room, and most churches aren’t modeled inside. However, most buildings do have interiors.

There are very few bugs or crashes, even in the release version.

The cinematic cutscenes are fantastic, and the story is great. The main characters you meet are well-written, memorable, and have excellent voice actors.

All side quests have small stories and unique NPCs—no simple fetch quests. They can even influence the main story as well.
Roadside events are more diverse than in the first game and can turn into side quests.
The world keeps going with or without you; if a character tells you to be ready the next morning to ride out, you’d better be there, or they’ll do the quest without you.

Like in the first game, most quests and objectives can be solved in multiple ways. You can be very creative, and sometimes the non-obvious approach leads to the best outcome.

The combat is a lot less clunky and feels great, but it does become too easy in the mid-to-late game. Enemies can barely stay alive long enough for me to land a single combo.

There are plenty of skills and stats to level up, along with perks to unlock. Now, there are no perks that increase one stat while decreasing another. There are also hidden perks you can unlock—for example, by picking 200 stinging nettles.

You can have many segs.

It took me about 180 hours to complete the story and most side quests. I failed or got locked out of some side quests by accident.

Amazing game.

Very nice game, it's what I wanted Spacebase DF-9 to become. Updates are a bit slow, but they are nice when they come. I wish I had something to spend all my resources on in the late game.
