Disclaimer: This is a slightly edited version of my original android app review.

A very promising game. The deck building mechanics will be familiar to anyone who has played a similar game before, but the mechanics are different enough to make it stand out. Its particularly nice how each character has different skills and powers. Its also nice how you need to defend against both the deck and other players. The game also makes excellent use of the fact that its digital with frequent card upgrading and villains which have multiple effects. Sadly there are a lot of flaws as well. The interface needs could use some improvement, though the PC version is much better than the mobile one. Lastly, its great that you can use the same account for the computer and your mobile device. Overall I would definitely be interested in a physical copy, and I wish the digital version worked better.

Early Access Review
While Labyrinth unfortunately did not pan out, the devs have adjusted their approach and are re-releasing the game as Spelldrifter.

If it lives up to my expectations of being a single player version of the original game, it will be well worth playing.

Additionally the devs will be providing free keys to their original kickstarter backers

I look forward to seeing what they release.

I've been meaning to review Secret World for a LONG time. What I'm about to post here doesn't really count as I'm quickly doing it for a Summer Sale Quest.

Though they took some steps back when they rebooted the game, by changing mechanics and removing various scenes, the setting is amazing. If you are looking for a well developed, urban fantasy setting, this is an excellent choice. Unfortunately if you are looking for compelling mechanics or a MMO experience, you should probably look elsewhere.

The day they decide to scrap the multiplayer aspect and re-release it as a single player open world RPG I will buy it without hesitating. While I have spent money on it in the past, and I am happy playing it in its current state, I certainly wouldn't recommend spending any money on it.

Play it, enjoy the setting, move on to a proper MMO!

Disturbed is a free choose your own adventure death visual novel. It is very easy to die, in fact there are 16 different ways, and mildly annoying to win.

It could use some editting, but there isn't anything which will make you tear out your eyes.

While I personally don't like the art style, it is well done and completely fitting for the setting.

My only real complaint is navigating the world. In order to get the good end, you need to do a LOT of going back and forth. It would greatly benefit from fast traveling.

That being said, its a solid example of a free horror visual novel and worth playing if you are a fan of the genre.

As a fan of the the developer's previous game, Neptune's Pride, I was quite curious to see this when it came out.
Unfortunately the game never really grabbed my attention.

The game feels like it is more focused on speed than strategy, and the immortal enemy is fairly boring.
Add in a card collecting mechanic on top of it and it simply felt like too much work to play.

I would give it another chance, since it is fairly polished and well made, but there haven't been any new updates to the steam page in over 2 years, so I'm inclined to write it off as dead.

A cute, if predictable, story marred by the presention.

The music and visuals were nice.

The choices were pointless and the seashell hunt was the only reason to consider playing multiple times.
This would have been better presented as a linear kinetic novel.

Its free so its worth playing if you are looking for something short and sweet.

Well that's certainly messed up... A dark kinetic novel about two childhood... somethings...
Well done though they could use some spell / grammar checking.
The story revolves around emotional manipulation and is not for the faint hearted.
I'm going to go watch something happy now...

DISCLAIMER
-------------------------------------------
THIS IS AN OPEN BETA GAME
-------------------------------------------
The steam store page makes no mention of this, so if you are expecting a completed and polished game, move along now.
The tutorial is very basic and there is much which still needs to be explained to the player.
There is a very small player base at the moment, so you may end up playing bots or much stronger players.
The game is being actively developed, so while your collection seems safe, your decks may randomly be deleted and the cards themselves may change.
-------------------------------------------
That being said, I am going to tentatively recommend this game.

ART
The art is nice though there are a lot of reused pictures

MUSIC
The music is a bit simple and repetitive, but I enjoy listening to it while I play.

MECHANICS
The mechanics are straight forward for the most part.
Almost everything is recognizably from other games you have played in the past. Both players have four card slots in which they can play their units. Each turn they gain mana to spend on either units of spells. The units can attack the other player or their units on the board. The goal is to kill the other player.
There are no surprises there, but it is well implemented.

F2P
You start with three copies of each zero star card. Through playing games, leveling up, and completing daily missions you can earn more cards. You will mainly get 2 star or lower cards, but it is possible to get higher and you can grind your excess 1 and 2 star cards into better cards. (you only need 3 copies of any card). At this point in time, unless you want cosmetics, you don't need to spend money. That being said. from what I've seen in other decks, some of the 4 star cards are significantly stronger than lower level cards.

OVERALL
Keeping in mind this is a beta, the game is worth giving a try. Its promising and I look forward to seeing how it develops in the future. Once it stabilizes and leaves beta, I may change my opinion, but for now its worth trying.

The dev's called it, it is truly a "seemingly pointless game".

I'm mildly impressed with their ascii art talent, and they do truly capture the feeling of a kid googling stuff they aren't supposed to.

Still I'm not sure why I wasted 10 minutes on it...
Its not bad, its actually well done for what it is, but still, not something I recommend.

When reading a free visual novel you never truly know what to expect so I approach them with an open mind.

This one was very well done, although it was more kinetic than visual. Only one choice made an obvious difference, and that was in the first story. The others didn't seem to change much.

The stories were well presented, the art was good, and the voice acting was solid.
The interface was what you expect from a visual novel.

There was a dash of humor and a little bit of suspense, but nothing overly scary.
I am curious to learn more about the "Apostle" (who was the main character in two of the three stories) as well as how this world work.

It should take you about an hour to play through this and sadly there are no achievements.
It is definitely worth playing though and I have added the sequel to my wish list.
