Pretty barebones, but it has a great atmosphere and it's free

For ~30 bucks on sale, you can relive your memories of some of the greatest scenarios in GBA RPG history, such as:
-MMBN1 BombMan scenario, with its straightforward Internet exploration!
-MMBN2 FreezeMan scenario, which requires no backtracking whatsoever!
-MMBN3 PlantMan and FlameMan scenarios, showing other games how to avoid pointless grinding for items!

If you enjoy so-called "Character Action" / "Stylish Action" / "Cuhrayzee" / "DevilMayCryonetta" games, then buying this is basically a no-brainer.

It's a genre that doesn't have too many games in the first place, and out of the few that are out there, not many reach the level of quality that Hi-Fi Rush represents.

The only nitpick I have about this game is that its replayability is hurt by some unskippable walk-and-talk segments, especially the museum level. Since cuhrayzee games are all about replayability on different difficulty levels, that part kind of sucks. But otherwise, the game is amazing.

If you need that Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising, Transformers Devastation rush, get this. Especially since the licensed music means it's gonna get delisted at some point.

I was impressed with the first 1 hour or so. The atmosphere was amazing, the game systems introduced early on were pretty nice, and it seemed like it will be a cool Warner Bros open world game, like Arkham City, or at least like Shaddow of Mordor.

And then the following 15 hours were the exact same thing over and over again. I don't blame Max for becoming Mad. I'd be mad too if my life consisted of picking up scrap, digging up landmines and beating up the same weak, predictable enemies the exact same way over and over again. And there are no stealth/puzzle sections from the Arkham series, or the nemesis system from the Middle-Earth series to break up the monotony. It's just a boring grind most of the time. A boring grind with a cool atmosphere, but a boring grind nevertheless.

If you can get it at ~60-75% off, it's well worth it. Once you turn on Corporations, Heroes and Secret Societies, it's basically an entire new expansion pack. Kind of crappy business practice though.

10/10, better than the PS4 version since you can play anime songs on this one while the friends you invited for a drinking session all cringe from disgust.

This is a short, but addicting game. Lots of brainless fun. The difficulty level is perfect - the levels are hard but can be beaten with enough effort. Some of the levels depend on luck too much though. Worth buying when on sale.

Must-have if you're a fan of Steven Wilson's music.

Comfy/10 would buy again. Relaxing when you need to relax, challenging when you need a challenge.
