Lovely and also challenging game!
8/10

Very nice artwork and animations and a nice combination of time management and deckbuilder.

Yes, it is a bit challenging because you have to hit certain deadlines every week to not go game over but I quite like that aspect, I'm on my first game and I don't have troubles with hitting the goals.

Yeah, a more relaxed game mode would certainly be welcomed, but I feel the story mode is quite balanced.

It may feel stressful and not as laid back as other games of this nature because you have limited time but it is quite doable on your first try if you plan ahead.

You have to really plan your day ahead and also think about the big picture and your strategy.
You have all the time in the world to think about your next move just not unlimited moves.
You have to think about which Ingredients you should buy in order to make good potions, when to upgrade or get new furniture and cauldrons etc.
Sometimes it is better to sell a potion cheap as to not get stressed out by the customer too much.

If they would add an endless mode it would be perfect, but the base game is charming and challenging, mechanics are good and well thought out, the cards you can use are quite unique and you can succeed with different "builds" of your deck.

Tips for beating the weekly contests:
It is probably best to focus on making 2 really good potions for the weekly contest and forfeit the 3rd potion, you only need to win with 2.
Focus on upgrading your cauldrons first, then go for more cauldrons and shelves. Then upgrade your shelves.
Try to not have too much stress on the contest day so that you can haggle as needed to win with your 2 potions.
I did 4 contests so far and every time I had 2 good potions that were very close to the competitors potion or slightly better, just haggling for 1 or 2 rounds was enough to win.

Suggestions:
It is a game where you have to remember a lot so some kind of ingame notepad would be useful!
Also a better way to sort ingredients, like single color ingredients only or filter by rarity or magimin amount etc.

Brilliant little dicebuilding game!

Its really fun to build your dice and your character every run.
Instead of cards you have dice and a huge variety of different symbols that can be on them.
New symbols, characters and mechanics get progressively unlocked so it is really well paced and doesn't overwhelm you.

It can be hard but it is well balanced, you really have to build around the character you choose and each character has a distinct playstyle.

With the addition of the artifacts that you can choose for your run and the RNG you can mix&match quite well and pull off some crazy combos or unusual runs.

Its has huge replay value, a run is around 15-20m and its just fun to try to unlock everything and get better scores.

A gem of a game.
It has an intriguing story, witty humor, nice progression and rpg mechanics and you can play it at your own pace.
There is almost nothing missable (besides of 2 or 3 achievements) and it is very relaxing.
You have a bit of a grind and a bit of fighting which are both good enough to be fun but are not the main attraction.
The DLCs are all good and always add new gameplay mechanics and story.
And where else could you play as a graveyard keeper?

This is one of those games that you can always come back to.
It has great gunplay, is easy to understand and get into and is lots of fun with friends.
Loved the first one, love the second, although I wish they would work more on a 3rd one instead of bringing paid weapon DLCs...

It still receives updates and has event but I wish you could choose to toggle the alternate monster skins on/off

Pretty good game!
Love the customization of the mechs... there are lots of loadouts and strategies you can do.
Story is decent and afterwards its still engaging, though you probably have to buy the DLCs if you want to get the most out of the game, worth it tho.

Oof... after not playing PAYDAY 2 for years... I just recently got back into the VR mode of the game...
and ITS A BLAST! God... PAYDAY 2 is so good in VR, they made everything right, controls, feeling, even crossplay!

And well.. its just a free upgrade! Can't thank the devs enough for this!

TL;DR 9/10, need a friend to play.

Great game! You have to play it with a friend, but boy its fun.
Basically, one of you plays the game and tries to defuse a bomb.
Your partner hast just a manual (written or on screen) on how to defuse bombs.
Your friend doesn't need to own the game unless he wants to defuse the game on his PC.
Perfectly playable as couch-coop or even with family share!

Some of the steps and explanations in the manual are superficial and convoluted on purpose!
Part of the fun is figuring out what to tell/ask your partner and set up a baseline of efficient communication.

The difficulty scale is very nice. It starts off very easy and gets harder gradually. After the inital bombs you will fail.
And you will get better and solve them. Sometimes the game adds meta-challenges like alarm clocks or the lights switching off or extra challenges to make it harder.

Overall 9/10. Would be perfect with a little bit more different bombs/puzzles and maybe another twist or two but thats just me being picky.

Its polarizing. You either love it or hate it.

- Text only
- you can write real-life scripts that then work ingame
- almost all content is delivered via interactions with other players
- you can hack but you have real risk and real work to do

This is sooo awesome... I just learned Hiragana in a day, I bet in a few days I will be able to write it pretty well too. I am confident that I would survive in japan now!
Why can't we always learn with games like these?

It works so well its scary...

10/10 would learn again
--------------------
Update: I trained writing and reading a few days after that, can now read and write Hiragana :D awesome

Early Access Review
I came from SPAZ1 which I loved and I was disappointed with SPAZ2.
In hindsight I would wish for a game that was build with the SPAZ1 engine and be as much arcady as SPAZ1 was.
To be fair I try to rate it wihtout comparing it to SPAZ1.
---

I liked that it runs good and with no bugs/crashes so far, the game and the mechanics work so far.
What I disliked the most so far were combat and ship design.

combat:
I don't really see the impact of reloading. All it does is slow the combat down. Whenever you have to reload you fly away.
The enemy stops shooting when you are out of range so its hard to "bait" him into reloading. I get that the shiled boost uses the same "power" as the weapons system, but I think no reload and another malus for boosting shields would add to better combat and flow. You have the choice of aiming for yourself or let the AI aim and shoot for you, both modes don't feel rewarding. The autoaim is too boring since you simply watch and fly your ship, aiming for yourself is too easy unless you really want to snipe that specific part... which so far isn't needed, maybe later in the game I hope.

controls:
The steering of the ship feels a bit clunky, but they works I think with better parts and emphasis on engines you can make your ship respond better and fly faster. But ther is room for improvement here.

Ship customization:
I really don't like the way the ship building is made. So far I have only seen 1x1 parts that you can arrange like boxes in a plane to build your ship (even when flying big ships in arena). I think it lacks diversity since I have also not seen plain "building" blocks that you could use for more interesting. Every core block has a connection on each side, so ship designs tend to be simple geometric forms like triangles, squares and rectangles or a slight mix. To be honest ships just look ugly.
Every weapon has its own range, but I have yet to see range indicators which would help.

Starmap/Simulation:
I kinda like the starmap and the opportunity it gives you to shape your own adventure but It lacks content or stuff to do.
You can either collect ressources/parts/trade or fight. So far its economy or combat. A bit of the usual faction/diplomacy is thrown in, but it all boils down to fighting to manipulate it. I wish there would be more exciting things, maybe random events, some kind of science tree or other actions like sabotaging, stealthing, spying, missions. So far I know you can occupy starbaes but you can't rally build stuff. It needs to be fleshed out more.

So far I can't recommend the game. For what it is and for what is was designed to be I think its not a bad game.
It just too rough around the edges and needs more work, fresh ideas. P

Personally the concept and underlying design decisions aren't as fun as I have imagined.
I hope to see it grow into something bigger and will continue to watch it.

Would rate it 5/10 so far
