It’s clear that a lot of love went into the development of this game.
The main character is super cute, and I love the variety of outfits! I was also pleasantly surprised to find a photo mode. It’s very detailed, packed with options to pose, adjust expressions, and even move the eyes. I love taking screenshots, so I’m having a blast with it. The game is short, but I actually enjoy short, casual games, so it was a perfect fit for me.

P.S. You can pet the cats!

Alice faked it the whole time. Kara faked being okay with it.
10/10.

The game is absolutely beautiful, one of the prettiest games I’ve played in a long time. I loved the visuals, the vibes, the music, the photo mode. But unfortunately, that’s about where my praise ends.

Let’s start with the pacing: it’s painfully slow. The voice acting feels like each line was recorded separately, then stitched together without any flow. Conversations don’t sound natural at all. Swann’s voice, in particular, is unbearable. Her dialogue is sluggish, delayed, making every exchange awkward. She pauses between every word, like it was intentionally dragged out to stretch the playtime. The terrible voice acting became even more noticeable next to characters like Kat, who I think was actually quite good.

Then there’s the cast. What are the odds that every single main character shares the same sexual orientation? It felt terribly unrealistic. The game also forces the romance angle way too hard. It was exhausting trying to dodge every flirtatious dialogue. I just wanted them to be my friends, without all those awkward situations.
I did like the pairing of two of the characters at the end, but it felt like every character was written to be romantically involved with one another, which made it less about genuine connections and more about always having a second intention. Pend*jas pervertidas.

Kat’s family dynamic made no sense whatsoever. Corey was a bully, but the game never provided enough context for his behavior. The conflicts the group had with him felt lacking. He wasn’t bad enough, too vanilla to be a proper villain. He needed to be much more terrible for me to buy it. Also, his interest in D&D and his relationship with his mother felt completely out of character for how he was portrayed. And where are Kat’s parents? How is it just her sister and Corey looking after a sick child?. The story is a mess. None of it adds up.

Their friend had cancer, yet somehow, the entire group found a way to make it about themselves. At the end of my game, Autumn left, apparently because I wasn’t able to console her 27 YEARS AGO when she was having a panic attack over what exactly?!
Nora also left, even though I got her achievement, but I guess I didn’t kiss her culo enough. These girls were incredibly selfish. They didn’t really care about Kat's health; they were too busy being scared over nothing and feeling sorry for themselves.
I saw the "good ending" on YouTube, and to be honest, I liked the one I got way more. Kat was the only character I genuinely liked (despite some aspects of her being completely underdeveloped - just like everything else in the story) and kinda felt like my closest friend in the game. So, that ending withjust Swann reconnecting with their memories felt more personal to me. Instead of that 'good' ending with all of them singing that AWFUL song... I never wanna hear those stupid lyrics again.
If you don’t romance anyone, Kat and Nora end up together… well, not entirely, because later they throw in some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ excuse about not seeing each other ever again. But still, they clearly liked each other a lot. So the fact that Nora left without even wanting to see what was inside the box felt completely out of touch in my ending
.

Choices? They don’t matter. It’s not about meaningful decisions, it’s about approval ratings. You’re just picking the responses the other characters want to hear, basically kissing their asses the whole time.

Gameplay? It doesn’t exist, 90% of the game is a very long, painful, pretty cutscene.

Oh, los tampones! The game is obsessed with menstruation. Tampons and pads are scattered around the environment like huevos de pascua.

Another thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the seemingly pointless decision to make Autumn a snitch. It doesn't affect the outcome other than to serve as a weird character assassination.

I could go on and on about how weird and incoherent the writing and the story in general are. But I never wanted to give this game a bad review in the first place. I hate that I hate it.
I genuinely enjoyed the first 4-5 hours, but everything went downhill fast after that. I pushed through to the end only to justify the money I spent.

I’ve seen a lot of complaints saying the ending feels unfinished, but to me, it was the only part that made even a little sense. I also knew how it was going to end before even starting Tape 2. Waay too predictable. No plot twist, no jaw-dropping reveal, no shocking moment... just nothing.

Overall, this game was a beautiful disaster. Heavy on aesthetics, light on coherence. Sadly, I can't recommend it.

May Tape 3 stay buried forever.

Lovely art and music, but the game is completely unplayable. I don't understand how can you release a product in this state.
