I have spent more time on this game than I can possibly justify, most of it on console - it's my comfort game, nostalgic, good weather, the ultimate sandbox. And on a modern mid-range pc - incredibly well optimized. Or maybe I'm just growing old (?) Shoutout to the devs and all the modders who keep this game interesting

This game is definitely a worthy successor to Subnautica, both quality and quantity wise, but [HIGHLY SUBJECTIVE RANT INCOMING] one thing that's missing is the feeling of solitude. Like, playing Below Zero makes you feel lonely after a while (maybe that's just me), but the game doesn't quite capture that feeling. There's an extensive story with a lot of voice acting, which is cool, but it sacrifices this vibe of "doing this, by myself, for myself". But maybe it wouldn't have been possible to replicate the vibe in the second game anyway.

Amazing if it didn't come with bloatware

I was listening to Self Radio and the radio host said "This is the perfect track to FLOSS to" before my among us drip mix started playing. Unironically 10/10

This is seriously one of the better games of its genre
