The beginning of the game can feel very dragged on after multiple playthroughs, that's basically my only complaint. A lovely game to either mindlessly play as you catch up with friends or bump up the difficulty to really get your strategy on. A nice intro into the turn based RPG world for those new to the scene. The game simplifies spells available and relies on cooldowns instead of having to manage a roster of moves and spells as seen in your more tabletop inspired video games. Both thumbs up, get it, play it, play it again, and when you get bored download a slew of mods and play it more!

This does NOT play like a Nancy Drew game. Sure the mechanics and control scheme are the same but it just feels way off. It boils down to a fetch quest with a couple puzzles that are basically guessing games. There is also an extreme lack of mechanic explanations. The game requires you use the library database as a search engine to progress the story line. It in no way hints that this is a thing you need to do, So there is a lot of wandering around for no reason. The story line is good enough but it doesn't redeem the fact that this is a sad excuse of an entry in the Nancy Drew series. I've played my fair share of Nancy Drew games and this one is the first that I feel shouldn't have been made.

TL;DR Sad Excuse for a Nancy Drew title, wouldn't recommend it. Try Ghost Dogs at Moon Lake if you haven't, One of my favorites!

This game is quite entertaining and is a great way to pass the time. I've put countless hours into creating sims and the houses they live in. I think it was well made and has a lot of content available for purchase. There is one problem with that, when I originally purchased this game and the ambitions dlc it cost me 70 dollars. I didn't buy any of the other dlc as much as I wanted because I didn't want to go broke. I just assumed as time went on the game and the dlc would lessen in value as most games do. To my surprise the game has dropped significatly in value, especially considering the release of Sims 4, but that's not what gets me. What shocks me is that the dlc is just as much as it was the day it came out for purchase. Don't get me wrong, I love this game and think what I payed for the game itself was resonable. But here we have content for the game, which can not be used without the base game that now is worth the same amount as the base game itself? According to this dlc doesn't depreciate like the game itself does. In other words if I now want to purchase all the dlc for a 6 year old game I have to blow 360 dollars!! I'm sorry EA, your content might be good however little each pack of dlc adds, but I think you've gotten your figures a little mixed up. The max you could get me to pay for the additive content of game would be ten dollars a piece, tops. So before you go opening your wallets for EA I suggest you definately think about getting The Sims 3, but only choose one or two of the dlc, anymore and you're wasting your money.
