towerdefense puzzle RTS game...basically you start as a towerdefense in the beginnen of the maps and you should try to defend against the flood. Once you are not dying you have to find a way to get out of the stalemate by conquering and outsmarting the blue goo.

It's not really stressful but it does take your attention. Mistakes are not fatal, so you can recover if you didnt overextend your defenses and taking back the land from the flood sometimes take some patience but all and all its good fun.

Loved it when i played it the first time ever, still love it today.

The game is great, it has this mix of roleplay, action, adventure... Bioware at its peak. Yes it does need the EA launcher but i do see it as necessary evil to play this gem of a game.

This game does fill that itch Blizzard left by murdering Overwatch. Fun heroes, quite fast paced action.

Yet ranked matching is quite bad. So if you want to play ranked, prepare to lose quite a lot because matchmaking sometimes just gives you potatoes for teammates and sometimes you match smurfs at any rank. Which does not spark joy.

It looks like master of orion, but it doesnt feel like it. Personally i was expecting something more like MOO2 after the whole MOO3 fail. I think they kinda wanted it to be less like MOO3 and more like MOO2 and they made it bland. It doesnt have the stuff that made MOO2 great (the way you can explore and expand, build your world and try to find balance between exploration, expansion and power) but they kept the stuff that i didnt like in MOO3 like the bland spacebattles and the warppoints/lanes.

I think galciv does a better job of being MOO than this.

It does not deserve a thumbsdown because the concept of the play is nice. it's just not the typical citybuilder and relies a bit on RNG. In the end after a few games im not going to finish it. So if you like a change from the standard citybuilders, give it a try.

The game relies on a deckbuilding like strat for you to progress. Cant unlock the buildings as you please, you need to unlock it through assignments or timeprogress. And that's where it's a no for me. Because next to the RNG with the buildings, you are on a timelimit. So if you don't get the buildings you need to complete the orders... you just have to wait a bit longer till you do.

The idea of the game is not bad, mechanics are quite simpel. Produce drugs and sell m.
THe way the game tries to challenge you is a bit tedious and boring. Mostly because it lacks dept in the mechanics. It just gives you a start that is setup to fail anyway and you should try to manage the chaos that comes from it.

produce drugs and sell ... they just throw annoying factions at you, but once you get your whole logistics ready they sort of implode. Overproduce your drugs? Warehouse penalties . TOo many strong lieutenants? They get angry for no reason and either want more money or go on a rampage.

The further you go it just scales up the difficulty by giving you semi broken infrastructure to manage . Just demolish m all, redesign the layout, make money. Repeat.

"'Join the army,' they said! 'See the world,' they said! I'd rather be sailing."

Well now is your chance. The game is handsdown the best game just to play with friends as a social gathering to do some questing (PVE), hunt some other pirates (PVP) or just to shoot your friends pet away with a canon.. (PVC, pets versus cannons).

You can team up with up to 3 other friends to sail a large ship. Everyone can have their own role on the big ship.... like a proper boat trip and do whatever you like. The atmospere is well made, there is a lot to find and the open sea has something relaxed. Also because you are on a sailboat, it's not that fast paced but when going into combat it can be to steer the cannons towards enemy ships or try to outsail the others.

The game only has cosmetics, so even if you are a new players, the boat that look kinda legendary is only as legendary as your own plain hull. Cannonballs do not care about fancy colors. Burn their sails, steal their loot and get your own fancy boat :)

Edit review: servers fixed, so thumbs up again :) So this still counts:

Multiplayer is a team game, but opposed to overwatch you can actually have fun if your team isn't as good as you would like them to be. The matches are basically in multiple phases, from soldier to titan and back to soldier again. And a lot of weapons/titans to switch playstyle to your liking.

And its not p2w or filled with griefers. Good fast paced fun with big bots :)

As long as Respawn hasn't fixed their servers, don't bother. Connecting is terrible, high pings, timeouts, horrible matchmaking times. A game like titanfall does not deserve to die like this. Shame on you Respawn!

But it´s a thumbs down for me, lately the game is unplayable. It´s been this way for months now. Respawn has not taken any action to fix their servers because they are too busy focussing on Apex Legends, leaving the titanfall players who paid for this game to stick it.

I love(d) this game. It's a fast paced shooter which you can/could easily play as an in-between game.

I like it. Good atmosphere, graphics are decent. Story is a bit flat but the music compensates a lot.

The whole space thing is actually flat. You cant really move up and down here, but smaller fighterships can. The battlemechanics are a bit like playing a navy battle, but with spaceships. (I hope that makes sense).

There are many ways to play it, robbing freighters, trade, doing missions for different factions and such.

Overall it feels a bit like Firefly.
