For a game that was backed in 72 hours, Antonblast truly delivered something special.
Its an incredible title that is an absolute must-play treat for anyone into platformers, especially Crash Bandicoot and Wario with how massive of a love-letter it is to the two franchises. Coupled with some of the best game music I've heard in the last several years of game releases, its no wonder this game took longer than expected to release; the team's passion is really evident.
The gameplay is paced quite well, though, everyone giving it a try should realize its explicitly not always a speed game. Nearly each level has a unique gimmick to it that helps really break up how you can explore, and the amount of secrets really add to the replayability of each stage.
The game's animation style really shines thanks to its humor being a solid mix of both hilarious old inside jokes and late-night cartoon gags. Voicework and dialogue really add to this a ton, especially with Satan's absolutely delightful performance by Gianni.
The music in particular is what helps make this game even more insanely special; Not only is each track incredibly unique, but the team's smart use of a dynamic soundtrack that changes thru the levels just adds so much pizzazz to it. The musical references are over-the-top radical too, with so many nostalgic samples from its inspired games to new takes on musical styles (one part of a level even has a chunk of acapella to reference Crash Twinsanity). Tony really pulled it off with flying colors.

Only noticed a tiny number of bugs that have already been brought up and are gone now.

All in all, seeing this project grow up in the time that it took has been really invigorating as a still-learning game dev and a real paragon of how indie dev with a close knit group of buddies can truly pay off. Hats off to the team for really nailing it!

Super engaging, beautiful remake. Honestly one of the most fun JRPGs I've played in a hot minute, not even a proper review yet as I have only defeated 2 of the main bosses. Not even all the way through and its a sterling example of how a remake should be done.

The game is very, very balanced compared to what I've heard from the original with a number of tweaks to encounters to make it a less brutal experience.

My only con is the questionable balancing on the finale, but you really, really have to prepare properly to take out the final boss (which I am not).

There not being a lot of crystal clear guides for the remake itself makes it a really explorative experience, its a treat to JRPG enjoyers. Would love to see a continuation of the story, especially after the new lore events introduced exclusively in the remake.

Beautiful soundtrack remake, also. There was a wave of nostalgia hitting hearing the final boss track remastered in orchestra quality.

Amazing game. Incredibly difficult to get a good grip on it but the difficulty is at least somewhat forgiving (outside of perfect percentage requiring way too much time and sanity). Anyone who worked on this project deserves all the best; The art teams did such a great job with the style, music team did awesome, and the level designers did a devilishly good job at handcrafting the tough as nails levels. All my love goes out to all the team members who've since been separated from (by higherups) or left Toys for Bob.

TFB deserves FAR BETTER after the pitches for Crash 5 were binned. This game was fantastic.

Even if its a mobile port with some added content, can't give it a negative rating. Absolutely a classic game, hopefully this doing well will bring a bit more attention to the series.

An hour in and I have to say, this is an absolutely fantastic game. Great blend of Wario Land gameplay / level design and Sonic speed. The Ren and Stimpy-esque artstyle is hilarious and adds a lot of charm, and Peppino is a perfectly deranged protag to fit the bill.

Music kicks serious ass too, and throws in a lot of depth into the levels.

Absolutely buy it if you're a platformer fan, and play Antonblast when that releases too, WarioLand-like platformers deserve all the love they can get. Future updates being promised for Pizza Tower is incredible as well.

Base Cuphead is already a masterpiece, but the DLC is on a whole new level even though its short (which is borderline criminal).
The animation itself is beyond charming, touching upon different eras of animation moreso than the original. The King's Gauntlet is a unique challenge, the inclusion of cut content from early trailers was awesome, and the finale gives incredible Disney villain fight vibes. DLC's just as tough as the base game if not moreso.

Absolutely worth the full price, buy it.

"Don't be sad! Its just how development time works out sometimes!"

Fun to play, fun to joke about. When the MANY horrible dev choices arent obvious, its great fun, but other than that... yeah. Its bad.

Try it when its free / on a massive sale unless they polish the game a lot; then this review will be updated.

Incredibly surprising game. I'm not usually the type for Card games of sorts, but this one's very impressive with its atmosphere and delivery. Even though its separated into 3 acts with varying gameplay, each is fun and offers different challenges (Part 1 is definitely the best for sure).

For Part 1, feels like I could play it for hours. The card gameplay is fantastic. The horror and uncomfortable atmosphere was amazing and really felt unnerving. Part 2 was nice, but didn't feel like much of a challenge as all stakes are removed entirely. Part 3 was a good blend of the first two parts, but felt lacking in terms of challenge (especially the two final bosses). It felt like the game should've had a sort-of scaling difficulty built in more as all parts have certain aspects that allow you to give yourself massively overpowered literal trump cards that'll let you completely breeze through.

The lore is definitely a bit awkward as it slightly ties to other somewhat-unrelated titles by the same dev, but the actual game characters themselves are really well-made, especially the first one you meet. The ending of the game itself (but not the actual full end) was bittersweet and definitely left me wanting a whole lot more.

I'd absolutely like to see this game get an extended version of the game more focused on the characters you face rather than the lore surrounding the creation of the game and our unfortunate friend who learns about it.

Vote for this in The Game Awards for sure, it deserves the recognition.

Early Access Review
Easily one of the best shooters I've ever played. Hell Let Loose manages to provide a pretty realistic FPS approach where teamwork is crucial and communication is key. Many players are die-hard serious about playing the game as well, which adds to the experience majorly. Mic communication is extremely important, so don't worry about being shy over mic; a large majority of players are chill and won't be rude unless your intention is to sabotage your own team.

The gameplay is pretty standard affair; Infantry needs to adapt to the situation whether it be through stealth or brute force. Tanks need to cooperate with command to avoid being blown to bits and find a proper point where they can mow down troops / other vehicles.
Recon needs to pick off targets from afar and work on setting up attack spawns for other players.

While the game is crazy fun, it still needs a lot of polish; There are still a large # of bugs that run rampant, including ones that wind up killing off communication or the server as a whole. Tank physics are something that also need work: There are many objects in some maps that the tank should clip through, but isn't able to.

Pros:

+ Hell of a lot of fun with a communicative team, sometimes even during rounds that wind up going sour.

+ Still being polished by the dev team and has a huge chunk of content on the way.

+ Pretty realistic-feeling outside of some awkward physics.

+ Beautifully crafted maps based directly off historic WW2 battles.

+ Satisfying to play once you've gotten a grip on the basics of gameplay.

+ Fun AF with friends if you can manage to get into the same Unit, which can be difficult at times.

Cons:

- Still has some serious bugs in need of fixing. Voice comms can die off leaving games in ruin.

- Leveling up each type of soldier to unlock direct-upgrade loadouts is quite slow. I have over 80 hours in here and I still haven't hit Level 6 on Rifleman (which is the base infantry class). Certain infantry are stuck with worse weapons unless you've unlocked better loadouts (example: German Riflemen are stuck without a good wep until Lvl 6).

Overall: I highly recommend playing the game for yourself. Just please: be sure to use a mic!

Easily the most fun character to customize by far. She's hella fun to play, but can be a handful at times with personality swaps. Just gotta learn her flow and you'll be able to kick ass with her.
