I really like Tekken 7 in many ways. In other ways, it's bad. At least the community is.

There are tons of characters to pick, some (very powerful) DLC characters too. The gameplay can be fun, depending on how calm you are and if you take the game too serious or not. I haven't seen too many bugs except for the game losing connecting to other player sometimes. I am glad it's a rare bug.

The graphics, sfx and music are well made. People say the characters look bad, PS3 quality. I think the characters look good, just a bit too smooth here and there. But maybe that was the art style.

The community is the worst. You occasionally meet cool people who are fun to play against. But the higher you go in ranks, the less fun you will have, even if you win most fights. A lot of tryhards who take the game too serious and either never attack, only punish, or constantly keep mashing buttons. A lot of Mishima players with a huge, but fragile ego, who plug after losing twice. A lot of non-Mishima players who will also plug after losing, or when they are about to lose against you. Or players who have bad manners, constantly display toxic behavior, and when you mirror their toxic behavior, they get mad and ragequit as well. You will also meet some cheaters here and there, especially at higher ranks.

I've never seen such a terrible community. My profile page looks like a twitter post comment section now xD
A lot of salty people who are very sore losers. Losing is part of the game. Yes, some opponents and characters will make me a little mad too, but if that's the case, you don't rematch and just move on.

Clearly not for these people. They are dead set on winning against every opponent, and if they can't, they will leave salty comments or accuse you of lag-switching/spamming moves. Hell, I was even criticized for blocking moves and parrying moves.

Anyway, this is my first fighting game, I'm new to this, maybe that's why it's such a shock to me to see so many weird players online who either cheat, ragequit a lot, or have bad manners and act toxic.

The offline aspect of the game is alright, I like the gallery of clips/movies from older Tekken games. The bots are alright, but even on very hard they aren't a big challenge, as they will make more advanced moves, but not counter/punish obvious moves here and there.

I like the control schemes, though I wish some features like KI-charging or rage-art was unbound from regular buttons for keyboard/controllers.

The game performance is pretty good too, it runs really well. Exception is when your opponent has bad performance, which in that case you will see a slideshow. Pretty good otherwise.

Anyway, I cannot recommend this game. It's fun initially, but at higher ranks it's frustrating. You can still win, sometimes very easily, but it's not as fun anymore. Offline is fine for some casual fun, or maybe against friends. Tekken 8 is even worse online from what I've heard.

Early Access Review
I've played both The Forest and Sons of the Forest since Early Access.

I like what they did with Sons of the Forest. It has some cool new content to explore, new gear and the story was expanded upon. It's a pretty game as well, it wasn't as well optimized in early access, but it has improved a lot and can be played with a stable framerate, even without DLSS.

I do have some criticisms about the game. The combat feels less balanced compared to The Forest. Sometimes your hits dont have an impact on the enemies. Once the enemies are armored up a lot of the primitive weaponry becomes practically useless, as the enemies dont really react to hits anymore, until you've destroyed their armor. In late game you have to depend on firearms, bombs and traps, as primitive weaponry no longer does the the job well enough.

I recommend playing at custom settings, in default the gameplay just feels very off. You try to build or explore, and enemies appear and harass you. You just fought a boss or a large group of enemies, and more enemies appear. I recommend changing the enemy aggression/spawnrate to low. It feels less spammy that way.

The building system is a neat concept, you can build things and mix and match, take off parts of your buildings and re-arrange. It feels like a massive chore to build things in this game that aren't coming from blueprints. The blueprint system of The Forest felt much better, although the ability to take off parts of your structures after you built them is a neat feature in SOTF.

The world is way too large. 4x as large as the map of The Forest. At that point I feel like there could be a fast travel system. You put down a GPS marker and you could fast travel to that spot in the future. Could be like sleeping where some time passes and you need to eat and drink again. It's not just the size, but just how empty the world feels. Caves have the same problem here, a lot of walking, not a lot to see except for enemies here and there.

Lighting in this game is pretty, so is the sound design. Both are a bit flawed though. Lighting could use more brightness in the shadows, especially in caves. Sfx themselves are well made, no complaints there, the sound mixing however could use more work. Some sounds are too quiet, other sounds are way too loud.

I've played the story in early access and watched the rest of it on YouTube, and I didnt like it as much. The first game was somewhat nuts as well, but SOTF is even more nuts, you see a lot, but a whole lot is not really explained all that well, even if you read all the notes.

All in all a good game, a little rough here and there, could use some improvements here and there. I hope the devs can add lots of interesting things to explore on the island, maybe flesh out the story even more.

In short: Fallout 4 is more linear and simplified than older Fallout games. Looking at certain aspects of FO76, it appears that things like the voiced player character and the limited dialogue options won't return in future TES or Fallout games. If you are looking for an oldschool Fallout experience, you wont find it in Fallout 4. If you're looking for a simplified Fallout experience, the game is perfect.

Story and quests:
The story is alright, at certain points it lacks depth though, and it feels like you can't really decide major things. It keeps you going in the first few playthroughs. After that there is little replay value in terms of the main quest. Side quests are interesting. Some side quests have more choices and more variety.
The Far Harbor DLC has more depth in its quests and more choices. The Nuka World DLC comes down to two endings again. So more linear.

Gameplay and gunplay:
Fallout 4 is a good shooter. It's fun to engage in combat. Most weapons can be upgraded, it's encouraged to scavenge places for scrap. Movement and dungeon design can be okay to pretty good.

The settlement system is very present, even if you choose not to actively engage in it. Its hard to avoid it at times. Other than that its a pretty great system with its own economy and morale system. Its fun managing all these things (if you are interested in management in games). Plus, the building system is one of the best in my opinion, because the things you build have purpose. Placing a couch gives settlers a place to sit, unlike in other games, where its just some decoration. Places can feel more lived in.

Difficulty is mostly fitting for the difficulty settings. The more you level however, the easier the game gets on all difficulty settings. You can become a massive bullet sponge and tank lots of hits.

Survival mode feels somewhat unbalanced. Certain enemies are bullet sponges and can easily end you without you having a chance to outplay them. Removing the quicksave and hardsave option in survival mode is a bad idea, if your game is unstable (due to mods or system instability).

Performance:
It ranges from alright to bad. Downtown Boston is very complex and very poorly optimized. On most mid range PCs you get about 30-50 fps on average without your GPU being fully utilized. I found TES Skyrim to be way better in towns with many NPCs than the dead Downtown Boston.

Crashes:
A clean game with 0 mods is pretty stable in my experience. You can have a pretty stable game even with 100 mods or so, depending on the mods and how well they play with each other.

Modding:
The biggest part of this game. You can find the usual horny mods, but also tons of mods that make the game feel more like the old Fallout game. You even get mods that work with Fallout 4's new settlement system (Sim Settlements 1 and 2). You find so many different mods for different purposes. You can really tweak the game to your liking and get away from the Vanilla state.

Modding the game is somewhat easy. Mastering your load order and mod list can be tough at times, depending on how many complex mods you have.

There are even external mods and programs for the game, that add crashlogs and a method to detect what mods and things could cause crashes. That makes modding much more accessible and beginner friendly.

Be aware of bigger modders though, they are usually very sensitive to criticism and don't like when you report a bug in their 'Masterpiece.' If you have crashes with certain mods, don't bother writing the modders, just stop using the problem mods altogether.

Creation Club:
Well, its basically paid mini mods. You are not forced to buy or use them. Tons of free alternatives. Some of the content is pretty good. Its pretty overpriced though. Sometimes installing the content doesnt work the official way, so you have to use workarounds.

After almost 2700 hrs I dont feel like uninstalling the game. It's essential on my PC, and probably will be for the next years. I dont play the game as much as I did some years ago, but its still fun to play it for 1-2h a day.

For about 20 bucks or so, it was definitely worth it. ^^
So yeah, as stated above, if you want a classic Fallout experience from the get go, FO4 is not for you. If you want a simplified and unique Fallout experience and use mods that can change the game in many ways, go for it.

WarThunder is free2play. Over the years it has become increasingly anti-player. Punishing you for mistakes your teammates make, punishing you for playing the game.

The good:
The models, sfx and visuals are really good. UI is pretty good too imo. Custom battles are fun. Low tier is mostly fun.

The bad:
The developers are always looking to make the game progress slower and slower. It's understandable to not give away everything all at once, but having to play 20 matches to unlock one module for one vehicle is stupid.

A lot of nerfs have come to earning ingame currency, and the game often punishes you for mistakes you didnt make.

The balance in this game (Talking about Ground RB) is all over the place. You get matches that are balanced, and then you get matches that are pure chaos. Fighting cold-war and modern vehicles in a WW2 vehicle isnt fun, fighting some of the soviet/russian vehicles isnt fun. In general, many mechanics and how they are executed ingame feel very inconsistent. You'd get killed by getting shot in your weakspot, but when you shoot the same spot, you bounce off. It often depends on luck, RNG and server ping.

The bugs:
The game has plenty of bugs, exploits and weird stuff that could've been fixed long ago. Since it doesnt make the developers any money to fix bugs, they get ignored. Who cares about game breaking or balance breaking bugs, if the players keep buying all the ingame stuff with real money.

Game can be fun, especially at lower tier, but even there you start seeing questionable balance and weird problems. And thats all ignoring the fact that sometimes, the developers use some secret documents to nerf/buff certain vehicles, even though official, declassified documents say something else.

If you're easily influenced to spend too much money, stay away from this game. If you wanna play 1-2 hrs sometimes, and have some sort of vehicle gameplay, play a bit.

Ryzen 5 1600
16GB RAM - 2667 MHz
GTX 1060 6GB
MSI B350M Motherboard
Relativ neue Samsung SSD
