I come in "aid" of all those wronged by this game's devs.
Here I lay my negative review in solidarity.

Play this game ONLY with your group of friends, since it only serves as a vehicle for your interactions.

VERY gpu intensive, has no fps slider, the only option is: vsync on/off

It includes the old original version and was pretty cool to kill some time with friends on the newer version.
Should be an easy yes if you get this on sale.

A friend of ours logged off with all the mats for the ship we'd use on the way back, we (3-5 players) were stuck on a swamp biome island (where were no ship mats to be found) and we had to survive with little to no resources, getting incessantly swarmed by monsters inside an omega-crammed improvised wooden chack, until he'd log on next day. As new players and not wanting to die and respawn at the starting area (we didn't even think of that til it was too late) we endured the hardships and that was not only a GREAT lesson to our ~gamer group~ but also a day to remember.

Would get stranded on an unbearable swampy mess of an island with friends again.

It's been a few weeks this game's gathering dust on my library, I pass my eyes over it and the bad experience I had with it surfaced.

I don't think the game even deserves a actual well written review, but I got the urge to say that, based on my experience with the game, I feel that the people who created this game don't play video games themselves (and you should know where this leads).

I wouldn't pay half the price for this.

Played for 24 hours and dropped one of the most valuable items in the game, sold it and gave the money to our Lord GabeN through the Dota 2 TI 2019 Compendium.

As a fan of the Warlock mod from DotA, I'm afraid to say they failed to reproduce the same good feeling the previous one had.
I found this one to be actually unplayable, there was not a single SECOND during a match that didn't make me want to close the game.
This is almost the same feeling I had when trying out Nine Parchments, the one game that tried to be the new Magicka. But this one was worse, I couldn't endure the pain of finishing the first 4 rounds.
If you played the Warlock mod from the good old times, don't touch this one.
The only good thing about all this is that I'll be sure to gather my friends and play the original one.

Edit: It's getting better, keep an eye on this fish.

I did try to like this game, even in the old days when it was better...
The new content really took this game out of rails.
The greed of its creators also did tons of damage to it, it's unfinishable so it can try to take your money forever.
Wish I've never started playing this one.

I went back to Clicker Heroes and it felt so good.
