Well.. I got this game back in 2018 and wasnt really amazed by it. The mechanics were really weird for a newcommer to the Souls-series and so the game sat for about two years in my library without being played at all.

A few weeks ago i re-discowered this game in my library and started playing it again and i gotta say... WOW... The beginning is like everyone says... Its difficult and needs real focus. But after a while, after beating the second boss, the game became easier due to new gear and upgrated weapons. Right now im about to enter NG++ after needing roughly 90 hours for the first run, 30 for the second one. At this point there are really no bosses that appear "difficult". Some need more focus than the other ones and better timing.

To the summarry:

Pros:
-Really good story mode
-Game is kept fair
-Lots of weapons, armor and spells to choose from
-Good individual character design
-Not a "draggy" game, you are kept on the run for items, quests and materials
-Decent COOP

Cons:
-PVP/ Invaders
-Buggy and annoying autolock issues on enemies
-All the controlls are displayed for controllers
-Hackers/ Bugusers and Griefers
-Changing from NG to NG+ is no real increase of difficulty
-COOP issues

Exlpanation:

Pros:
-Story Mode: The storry has a good length and if you pay attention to the storry of each individual boss you can see connections that lead to the events, quests and the storry in general.

-Game is kept fair: The game is fair. You dont appear in the beginning "overpowered". Nor can you allow many mistakes to happen. One misstep can lead to your death. Also you are "thrown into cold water" at the beginning, meaning: No explanation of the controlls, no mechanics explained and thus not made "easier" for you.

-Lots of weapons & co: You have a HUGE ammount of weapons, Armor, Spells and equipment to choose from, thus creating your own, unice character with his strenghts and weaknesses. You can master many wepon arts or Spells, which makes this game very unique.

-Not a "draggy" game: Yes, if you got to a NG+ the storry repeats and stuff but if you really enjoy this game it doesnt feel "draggy".. Its just the perfect lenght and you have to collect/farm the resources to be able to upgrade your weapons, Estus-flasks, bonfire or other equipment you may want to use.

- Decent COOP: Well.. this one is kinda a PRO as a CON. The COOP as self is okayish. You can play with friends, raid bosses and farm souls. But as for the summoning to be able to COOP...

CONS:
-PVP / Invaders: Oh boy... Invaders are a major problem, specially as a newbie in the game. If youre embered you can get invaded, if you want to or not. Most of them appear in the worst possible time and literally f*ck up your game by killing you. Specially players called "Twinks" which are high leveled players farming low level players. And theres also the possibility to get invaded by multiple invaders at the same time, which all start chasing you at the same time. I myself had once 4 invaders at the same time who just circeled me and beat the sh*t out of me.

-Buggy autolock: Well.. the camera tends to start spinning or to lock off in fights which can and often will be your demise in fights, specially in boss fights

-Controlls displayed only for controllers: When i first started to play Dark Souls 3 i had the problem to figure out the controlls due all being labeled as "A,B,X,Y,Selet,Start" while playing on keyboard and not having an XBox controller avaliable. If you want to look up the controlls you have to go all the way into the settings to look em up. But you cant change the genreal displaying of the controlls for the game itself.. which is really annoying.

-Hackers / Bugusers and Griefers: All can be set as one category. F*cking annoying and e´ruining the fun. Sure, all pc games have problems with hackers but dark souls is one of the games with the biggest problems that ive played. Also its pretty easy to use buggs in this game to multiply souls or other stuff. The griefers can be said to be the invaders who intentionally f*ck up your game.

-No real increase of difficulty (at least imo) from NG to NG+: Ive not really noticed any increase of the difficulty of the bosses or generally the game after going into a NG+ run (SL120), infact i thought it was easier. It can be due to remembering the bosses attacks or generally becomming better in the game.

-Buggy COOP summoning and random kicks: The COOP summoning is buggy. Sometimes the summoning sign doesnt appear and sometimes it does and you get kicked out of the COOP without being kicked by the host. Im not sure why that is but mostly changing the area does help a little.

So.. All these were my personal opinions and observations after playing the game for about 120 hours.
And if you ask me if the game is worth it despite having so many CONS... Absolutely yes! The game is despite all its cons a really good and enjoyable.

A really awesome game with very detailed graphics, a entertaining campain, a variety of skins which can be unlocked (about 90%) for free except the prime exclusives and if you bought the deluxe edition. And i really like the music in the background while playing. It keeps me fired up and it sounds really amazing. It has a decent amount of difficulty levels and the easiest one is not too easy like in many other games, even in the lowest difficulty you have to concentrate when a large group appears not to be ran over.

Also i like to figure out how to optain some of the secrets.

I can highly reccomend this game for everyone who likes fantasy based ego shooters, or shooters generally.
