are you a burly man in space? Yes
Do you shoot your gun and punch the bugs? Yes
Do you wish to stomp on the skulls of your enemies, and proclaim your loyalty to the emperor?
this is the game for you!

This was a pretty easy pick up for me. I like games with a little bit of random.
Peg popping is pretty fun alone, but also combat, trinkets and ball effects? Icing on the cake.

I was getting handled pretty badly later on due to scarcity of healing, but I think that was bad relic draws. Nothing like +10 damage to plants on the knight level to sprinkle a little salt on your wounds.

Also, the mallet relic does not quite work the way described. It's not "the next enemy" it is more like "the attack continues on" as i would do 300+ damage to a 65 hp bat, and the shot would just fly into the horizon and skip killing anyone else around.

I can't recommend a game that kills a singleplayer run when temporary internet blinks.

Gun balance is way off. You feel like you're shooting paper wads at sponges unless you find something completely broken. Skill cooldowns are incredibly long, and fighting bosses solo is maddening.

Wait for a patch, and DO NOT PAY 70 DOLLARS FOR THIS.

A combination of skill, luck, and breaking the game mechanics will get you through your runs of this game. Maximize your damage, and minimize your chance of death, before facing the cheapest, most annoying endboss I've have the displeasure of attempting to kill.

There's something relaxing about breaking down a ship into it's base parts and sorting them.
The game sets up a really good atmosphere, with pressure included.

I wish there was a "ship clamps" upgrade that would hold the back end of the ship stable until you disabled them. It's really annoying to have the entire body of the ship decide "im going into the processor" because of physics interactions of discreet things I cannot see. At least let me pay some nominal fee for fuel or something to re-center the beast.

Edit- There's new content for those who havent played the game, which is cool. But there's been quite a few wipes to my progression, which is uncool. I don't care for that very much after the initial, as starting from square 1 again really puts a massive damper on my motivation to continue playing the game. A+ if you don't own this, but D- if you've put in a few hundred hours.

If you like timing and skill based shooting, it's pretty good.
I just wish there were a few invincibility frames when taking damage. I've been one-shot by a crowd or boss a few times and it's not a great feel.

If you like rhythm games, and hate cubes, this is your killer app.
Seriously, if you have VR, and can swing your arms. I cannot recommend this game enough.

If you like slay the spire, or card games, I can't recommend this enough. The game makes you split focus on improving units, and forging spells in order to create a deck that can withstand some truly harrowing encounters.

Creatures are played from the deck, but it seems like if they perish during combat, they stay in the "expended" pool until the next fight. Keep that in mind, or enhance your favorites with holdover charms to keep them coming back for more.

You are bound to come close to success a few times, but to truly beat your final boss, you must maximize your deck synergy, and keep your card pool optimized.

I hope there's some more boss variety upcoming, as the same bosses can feel a little stale, but there are modifiers to keep it interesting, as well as challenges in the mid-tier to tempt your greed.

A+ would punch ticket again.

A great deck building Roguelike. 4 characters with different playstyles are available, and each have thier own deck/synergy styles to exploit. Replayability is off the charts, and if you like card games, and roguelike progression, this is the game for you.
