Last time I bought a newly released game was Baldur's Gate 3 (too much backlog not enough time).

Expedition 33 tries this wild thing of mixing turn-based and reflex stuff, and yeah, it was a bit frustrating to start. But honestly, once you get the hang of it, it's pretty addictive. The story seems interesting, and the voice acting is top-notch. For the 8 hours I've played, I'm enjoying it, even though I wish they'd add HDR and FSR.

I plan to update this review with my final impressions once I've finished the game.

First time I died because of a crocodile, 2nd time due to a mosquito.

Now on my current playthrough, I had fungal infections, sore throat, got my limb cut off. Met a six arm ape and have him as companion. Got buried alive and then got swallowed by a giant clam. And still have a long way to go before I can finish my adventure.

I was really excited that finally a current gen NBA in PC that I bought this game immediately. One game in and all my excitement is gone.

Subtitution and rotation is a mess. Fatigue doesnt have any affect in game. Cant even enjoy a single game because 1 or 2 player in each team arent getting sub out the whole time. Tried alot of diff settings but cannot get around this bug. I only play MyLeague so this is unplayable for me.

Will come back again when this gets patch up. Next week, next month or next year, I dont know.

First thing first, whatever you do, don't select a male main character. I made a mistake doing that and its one of the reason I cant finish the game, My character keeps moving like a girl and the stance is also for female.

The grind is so tedious that I resorted to mods just to make it not boring too much.

If you play XCOM and XCOM2, you will remember getting attached to your soldiers all thru the game. Here, its complete opposite. Some characters tried so hard to be unlikable. A couple of teenage drama in spite of the end of the world dilemma.

Combat is good but the rest of the game is a negative.

Game is good if you ignore the cosmetics micro-transactions and long loading times. Almost as good as when GrimDawn was release. Although the choices for builds and customisation are not as many. Item crafting is one of the best. End game are not that good yet but there are lots of room for improvement.

In the end, the game is fun and interesting. Hopefully they will bring more content in the future.

Most Important 1st: This game support 32:9 ultrawide resolution.

Hard West 2 is a very good turn based game that add some extra mechanic that makes it different than other games in this genre.
Length of the game strike a perfect balance while story and atmosphere of the game is good and will keep you interested.

If you're a fan of turn base games this is one of those that you must try.

A fantastic open-world RPG that doesn’t provide excessive guidance.
I purchased the game during the last winter sale and played it until I completed it. The hours I invested in the game were definitely worthwhile.

I even ask an AI to review it and here's what it said:

The game’s vastness, like an uncharted continent, beckoned me to explore every nook and cranny. Each sunrise revealed new secrets, and every moonrise whispered ancient tales.

The combat, reminiscent of FromSoftware’s signature style, demanded precision and resilience. No gentle tutorials here—just raw, unyielding challenges. Yet, with each fallen foe, I felt a surge of accomplishment. The landscapes—towering cliffs, desolate ruins, and mystical forests—were not mere backdrops but characters in their own right. Elden Ring’s sunsets painted the sky with hues I’d never seen before, as if the gods themselves dipped their brushes in cosmic pigments.

And the lore! Oh, the lore. It wove a tapestry of forgotten kingdoms, shattered alliances, and cryptic prophecies. I pored over ancient tablets, deciphering runes, piecing together the tragic saga of the Elden Ring. NPCs, their voices etched with sorrow or madness, shared tales of lost kings, cursed knights, and forbidden magic. I became a scholar, a detective, unraveling the threads that bound this fractured world.

The hours I poured into Elden Ring—like coins tossed into a wishing well—yielded dividends of wonder, frustration, and awe. The thrill of unearthing a hidden shrine, the terror of facing a colossal boss, the quiet solace of gazing at a star-studded sky—all etched into my gaming soul. I emerged from this epic odyssey with battle scars and triumphs, a bard’s song waiting to be sung.

So, yes, it was worth it. Worth every bleary-eyed night, every adrenaline-fueled duel, every whispered prayer for a bonfire. Elden Ring isn’t just a game; it’s a pilgrimage—a journey that reshapes you, leaving imprints on your psyche like runes etched in stone. 🌟🗡️🌄

Feel free to immerse yourself in the echoes of Elden Ring’s lands once more, or perhaps venture forth into another epic quest. 🎮✨

60hrs and I just got out of act 1.

Already planning my 2nd playthrough, I guess I'm going to play this game for quite a while.
