I would give this metroidvania a B+. I like everything about this game. From the characters, to the setting, to the combat, to the platforming, everything is good, bordering on great. It just does not cross into great frequently enough to join The Greats. Still, if you are looking for a somewhat lighter metroidvania, this game is an easy recommendation.

It is with some reservations that I do not recommend this game. The narrative is compelling and unique enough that it is worth putting up with the gameplay, which is mostly involves following an icon . Unfortunately, only the good ending provides a satisfying conclusion to the story. If you are willing to look up the spoilers you need in order to get good ending, and can stomach some laborious gameplay, then this game has a story worth experiencing. Otherwise, I would avoid this one.

This game did not click with me until I realized that you can warp from just about any room to any room. This cuts out back tracking and lets you get right to descending upon the enemies like the wrath of god.

Beautiful art, intriguing story, fun game play. This game is the triple threat. For the asking price, I do consider it a bit short, but given that all the content has been lovingly hand crafted, I consider it worth it.

Add this to the list of games that made me cry. In terms of both story and gameplay, this game is like Celeste with violence.

Probably the most Analgesic Productions production. The platforming offers a surprising amount of depth. This is probably my favorite cozy 3D platformer to date!
