Early Access Review
A friend bought this for me and I immediately played it for eight hours! I only realized it was almost four in the morning because another friend hopped into the voice chat to check on me!

The graphics are not bad—not stellar, but not ugly either. I definitely needed more customization options in character creation, too.

This game takes some observational skills to start. You don't get handed everything, but you are pointed in the right direction if you know how to pay attention to the text.

I'm very glad that I'm playing easy mode right now because it's still a challenge, especially since I keep dying because I don't pay attention to important things!

So far, I've delved pretty hard into Palia and my complaints are few.

  • A few minor glitches, mostly graphical.
  • The fish look a little odd.
  • Easy to run out of storage space. - I hadn't had my stuff maxed out.
  • Easy to run out of resources when crafting furniture.
  • Weird that nobody wants flowers...
  • I would love to see more free clothing and hair options or clothes that can be earned in game.

The above are the only complaints I can think of at the moment. Now, here's what I really like:

  • The fishing minigame is actually kind of fun.
  • Physics for bug-catching and hunting are consistent enough that once understood, hitting the target is easy.
  • Decorating is fantastic and easy.
  • The cooking minigame is challenging but feasible.
  • All of the NPCs are loveable in their own unique ways, including Eshe.
  • The in-game community is supportive and kind.
  • The item request system feels pretty good to give and get items with.

Now, all of these are just off the top of my head. Would I pay for Palia? I'm not sure. Right now, it feels like this is only a fraction of the world. I feel like the future will bring new maps to explore and bring new wonders into Palia's already gorgeous world—at least, I hope it will!

Oh my goodness, this was so much fun! There were a few small bugs, but they're easily avoided by simply not letting yourself die. ;)

Honestly, I really enjoyed it. It was what a game should be—fun!

It's a pretty fun idle game. I love seeing which new designs of demons and other stuff I'll unlock next. It's repetitive like any other idler, but there is new stuff to check out with each new play.

This was a birthday present from a friend, and omg it's so fun???? But it's over too soon! I love it, and Possum is best.

It feels like someone took Animal Crossing and gave you a lot more freedom, while also adding some parts of Stardew Valley. If you have a hard time picking between the two games, give Garden Paws a shot! Plus, it's updating often, so you can experience more and more fun, and on top of that there's mods in the workshop to play with!

It's a very kid-friendly game filled with childlike wonder, while at the same time it gives players who love capitalism lots of ways to earn and spend money.

A very cute, very easy game. I completed it in about seven and a half hours, and though a lot of it was idling, it was still very fun, and I loved designing my park!

After beating the main storyline, I can say with certainty that I love this game. It's Dragon Quest, but with Minecraft-like features. What's not to love?

If I could change anything, I would have increased the budget Square Enix had when making this, so that they could have given more expressive animations and maybe even some voice acting.

It has the puns, the wordplay, and the humor you expect of Dragon Quest. It's a little hand-holdy and easy. Despite this, the story holds up, and it's deeper than it seems at first blush.

This game's been around a while now, and while I might not have played the most hours of it, I definitely love it—I wouldn't keep coming back if I didn't!

This is, I think, the first game I've actually completed on Steam (not counting achieve hunting), and... Dear lord. The controls are a little wonk and what it does to a dual monitor setup and my favored window layout isn't good, but the story is fun, and if you know any Japanese you might see things coming from a mile away, BUT.

Still. Play it. If for nothing else than to experience its charm firsthand.
