A huge improvement over the first game.

The combat, albeit the same rolling and sniping with arrows, loop, has a lot more flavour, with Aloy's larger skill trees, and abilities at her disposal. I really enjoy playing on a hard difficulty, and approaching the combat tactfully.

The world is just as beautiful as the first game, and there are the same(way more) abundant amount of resources to gather to upgrade your weapons and gear and feed your ever hungry ammo supply.

The NPC behaviour has vastly improved over the first game, and the towns actually feel alive. (The NPCs still have the strange, one size model fits all men/women, with different faces stitched on, problem)

While the actual story line might be less exciting the the initial discovery of the first game... the added cinematic angles of character dialogue, and vastly improved character facial animations, makes for a much more digestible narrative in the second game, and I find myself enjoying listening to the dialogue from the NPC, a lot more.

Overall, I find the game to be a massive improvement in the right direction, with tons of activities to do, beautiful sights to see(love the rock climbing), and an increased number of metallic nasties to hunt.

Definitely recommended!

Classic point and click from the good old 90s.

Great humour.
Creative problems.
Fantastic audio and music.

Some puzzles can feel a little obscure when the developers assume everyone should understand the references.

Great truck physics game. The game is an enjoyable open world driving game, as long as you enjoy getting stuck, and figuring things out trial and error style as there is little hand holding when it comes to using the correct tools for the missions. Co-op is a bit broken right now, and only the host has map progression saved, which sours the multiplayer experience. but missions and exploration is still much more enjoyable when done with a friend.

tldr:
Pros:
Great physics
Great graphics
Challenging experience that requires trial and error.

Cons:
Flaky multiplayer (often fails to connect to host)
Occasional crashes
Challenging missions that punish you for lack of planning.

Probably the prettiest reserve yet! Fantastic vistas with interesting vegetation and great hunting. They should probably tone down the puma spawn rate or just how frequently you trip over them. Very happy with this dlc so far!
