If you bought the first one and enjoyed it, just ignore this one /: it's just so boring and lacks any of the original witty humor the first one had.

I highly recommend this if you're an Otome fan!!! I somehow went into this thinking it was another RPG horror game but it's like a mini Code:Realize <3 A little more cyberpunk sci-fi romance
You play as Xixy, a stoic and intelligent girl who is gifted at solving puzzles. Her teammates all have a mysterious past that despite their charm, show they all have potential to do bad things (Except Carrus, a good boy)
This game offers CGs, gift-giving, multiple dark endings, banter between the bachelors for Xixy's affection, glimpses into the bachelors' dark pasts, and fan-service dates at the end if you max out all friendships!
They did great with the world-building and I can't wait to see what the next game(s) bring!!!

Frustrating controls on both keyboard/mouse and controller.
Unlikable characters, average voice acting and dialogue that takes away from the atmosphere. For example Yu admits she would kill herself or whoever would attempt to take them back to the Apiary, painting this as a dire situation...then proceeds to complain about their limited food options and why they even need to forage every day. Like most stranded people don't even have access to a spaceship, oven, shower, and bed but okay lol. I had to disable the voice acting while playing because the snarky tones were getting annoying.
Environment appears cozy at first sight but seems pretty empty as I explored. It seems like the only creatures you come in contact with you must fight.
I'd probably only recommend this to someone really into RPG romance that's only of two people already dating and going through the motions of cooking/hanging out etc. rather than someone who likes games exploring space, crafting, or survival, definately not that kind of game.

Enjoyable and unique cooking game that incorporates characters inspired by spirits and fairytales from different cultures who give you recipes, cute outfits, and lucky tokens that boost Izakaya profit! The art style is super cute, keyboard controls are simple to use, and skip function is fast which makes up for the excessive dialogue if you aren't interested in hearing from some characters. There's a great variety of cuisine and its fun to tailor each dish to meet VIP guest preferences. There's plenty of achievements for achievement hunters that require a decent amount of effort and push the storyline forward, but completing the storyline is not required to collect dishes and tokens - only leveling up friendships is. Highly recommended!!!

I would not recommend this game full price. The controls are very frustrating and you can't change the keybindings. There isn't a display to explain or remind you what key does what, so I'm reduced to hitting every button on my keyboard to find out. Luckily there aren't THAT many controls, but for example the game doesn't even explain how to open your map, and even when you do the map itself is difficult to navigate, like the actual movement of looking around the map with your cursor sucks. The graphics are pretty and the animals are cute, but that's about it. I wasn't going to leave a negative review, but then I got to the part where I had the climb the trees on that giant deer - yeah no. It was so buggy and I'm not going to climb up to the highest point of the forest one more time after falling off like 100 times. Also I would not classify this as a puzzle game. The 'puzzles' were relatively simple, it's just the tedious nature of the game that makes it feel like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 5000 piece puzzle.

I haven't finished every route in London Detective Mysteria yet, but I am already in love with it! Initially, I thought it was too expensive, but the moment I started the game I knew it was worth the price. With lengthy chapters, immersive dialogue, and clever banter, you will find yourself completely engaged and wanting more!

If you're concerned about how some reviews claim the love interests do all of the actual detective work while the protagonist (Emily) does nothing, I have to disagree. Emily is a reflective and analytical individual, curious about the darkness of London outside of her noble bubble. She contributes quite a lot to their cases (unlike some...I'm looking at you 7Scarlet), and her own noble perspective often aids them in investigations. EDIT: (finished game) She learns and grows uniquely in each route (unlike Hakuoki, where each good route has the same formula) and this is the first otome game where I have enjoyed each character route and feel attached to every love interest.

Another concern I noticed when buying was that other reviews say they were left feeling unsatisfied with the grand ending. I cannot speak to this, but I'm willing to sacrifice my time for a disappointing ending 1. because I will still love the characters forever and 2. I am already scarred with how ridiculously repetitive, insulting, and anticlimactic Men of Yoshiwara was with each and every ending. #BoughtMyHusband

Lastly, if you just like the idea of living in Victorian England and being privileged enough to be a woman attending a detective college as ordered by the Queen, all while questioning whether you will align yourself with the law or with love as you meet handsome men throughout your journey, then this game is for you!

EDIT: Since this review I have not only finished the game, but replayed both Jack and Holmes' routes multiple times! This is my favorite otome game ever and I was very satisfied with the grand ending. My favorite thing is how diverse the routes are in their plots and endings. I also appreciate the fact that once you choose your love interest, the other characters don't simply disappear. They remain you friends (and sometimes your wingman!) and support you in solving the mystery at hand until the very end. London Detective Mysteria is a heart-warming game that leaves you with that good feeling when you finish a thrilling romance novel.

EDIT 2: Still love this game <3
