I've never finished a souls game, ever. That being said, Elden Ring makes me interested in actually completing it fully, even though it will likely take me a long time lol. I've always hated the fact that the story in souls games are typically linear, and I'm more of an RPG-ish/Exploration style gamer. This time around it feels almost as if they accommodated my style and critiques and put them into a souls game. Definitely would recommend for the typical RPGer who loves to explore but has never been particularly interested in a souls game. Give it a try, it will definitely surprise you. Also yeah, don't expect it to be easy, that goes without saying.

Early Access Review
Difficulty: Medium (if friends) - Hard (if solo)
Fun with friends: Yes, very.
Fun solo: Ehh, could be. Kinda tough tho.
Long or short: Longish.
Story: Somewhat? You collect notes and visit places that can connect together, so yeah, maybe.
Worth the price: Yes. IMO.
x/10: Solid 8 in my book.

Early Access Review
If you like Warband, then this is a great game to pass the time and definitely worth the money. I've encountered a few bugs, and the loading screens can be quite annoying at times too, but it makes up for it in gameplay and it's to be expected since it's early access. So, I trust the developers will be updating and fixing things pretty often, and they seem to have already. (e1.0.2 as I'm writing this) Don't let the reviews stating the game is too buggy discourage you from buying this game. I've hardly encountered anything crazy that wasn't already fixed. The main thing it has going for it, compared to Warband, is the combat. It's a much more fluid Warband, because honestly, Warband was wonky as hell, and most people just got used to it. I think Warband still beats this game in terms of Multiplayer, simply because of Napoleonic Wars, but I'm excited to see what the developers have planned for future DLC!

Secret Word: Justice.

This game is very strange to me. It's sorta like a personality test, but very strangely it got me almost completely right? At least it felt that way. Some of the questions I wasn't sure of, like, I had not really thought it through all the way. Sometimes I felt like I was contradicting myself as well, and it felt like the test knew that. In the end, when it explained who I was, it felt very true. It wasn't vague either, like regular personality tests. It explained it to me as if it knew for a fact that's who I was. I hardly saw any flaw in it's explanation to me either, which was sorta creepy. To be honest though, I don't feel comfortable explaining what it told me, but the advise it gave me was actually quite helpful. So, kudos to the developer. Whatever you coded into this thing, I mean, it's impressive.

Subnautica in space, but with a lot more jokes by the developers.

it's free, just try it out. you won't regret it, you can share screens (as long as your pc is capable and internet speeds of course) and you can change environments to a theater, home theater, just anything really. open mic chatting, or mute your mic if that's your thing. whatever floats your boat.

I wanted to give this game a good review, but I just can't. There are so many bugs, and the combat is so wonky and feels broken half the time. I've given up on trying to actually play it. It feels like your commands and diplomacy don't really matter, in the end, it's all about if the AI wasn't super buggy/broken that battle or if your general didn't randomly die. There are plenty of examples of this you'll see if you play the prologue and the beginning of the campaign. Ship battles are also really dumb and make no sense, pfft, they're almost funny to watch. Also, troops sometimes just sit around if they have no orders, or if too many troops in one area. Like wtf? Sorry but that's not immersive at all, just makes the game look stupid. Yeah, I regret going over the two hour limit on this game.

This game is great, I love these developers. I definitely feel that FTL-type style whenever I play this game, and it brings back both nostalgia, and just overall enjoyment. This game is a puzzle turn-based strategy game involving mech special-ability combat against alien bugs also with special abilities. (and of course rogue-like game-over's) It's also pretty difficult, which is both good, and bad. I am going out on a limb here and just gonna say that it's probably not as difficult as I think it is, (even though when I played it was on easy) it's probably just me needing to get better at the game. Choices matter in this game, and you'll find yourself slowly becoming more addicted to this game, and wanting to get farther and farther after every game over you get ;( ... Anywho though, yeah, this game good. Try it out!
