It's just more puzzles (I say this as high praise).

They nailed the aesthetic, but that's about it. The lanes aren't particularly interesting, the powerups aren't worth going for or using, it's just kinda boring.

The opening is literally just Undertale, but stick with it. There's a sliver of personality and charm that might have you intrigued by the time the demo is over.

The way the main gimmick of the game is utilised is excellent. Play enough games like this and you start to develop an intuition for what kinds of puzzles and extra mechanics will show up, so it's always great when one surprises you in clever ways. Sadly there's no easy way to backtrack for optional puzzles, but I had fun all the same. I'd absolutely go back if there was a map or a post-game state with less tedious navigation.

Also, the writing is really good. To address one negative review who called it propaganda (spoilers for the plot): The game encourages you to go outside, meet people, enjoy life, don't just stare at a screen and hide from the world through escapism. The irony is hilarious.

Finished the campaign. The puzzles are really well made and the interface is painless. No-brainer buy for puzzle fans.

Demo is interesting. I love how the devs are playing around with enemy music variants and the note interface, I hope the full game just goes nuts with it (the corruption cleansing is rad as hell). The writing is a let down, pseudo-deep with a lot of symbolism and repeated themes (I wonder how may times "two sides of the same coin" appears in the full game) but there's no substance. The demo also ended with some annoying forced conflict that I could see them explaining in the full game, but for now it was nonsensical. Regardless, gameplay is good, just needs a small movement speed boost.

Writing's pretty good, overall plot is serviceable, combat is fun. An hour of my time I can't say I regretted.

Also the battle theme slaps.

Customer orders food, you make food. No time pressure unless you want there to be. Lovely.

Fantastic block-pushing puzzle game. There were a couple of rough puzzles, but they only stuck out because the rest of the game is so well made. Non-linear with abilities you learn to interact with puzzles in new ways, so two tips: pay attention to what you unlock and how, and don't be afraid to just leave a puzzle for later if you're frustrated. There's plenty to do.

I wasn't really grabbed by the overall plot because I'm a snobby idiot when it comes to writing and it was all very cliche and predictable, but the actual dialogue between characters was pretty good. The movement was really nice, I missed one room on the map for full completion and had zero hesitation going back to explore just to run around a bit more. The combat starts fun but the enemy design really hurts it as you get deeper in. The issue is the combination of a) enemies having less delay on their attacks than you, b) every enemy attack interrupts and stuns, but your normal attacks don't, and as a bonus c) some flying enemies that you need to jump to attack have projectiles you can't dodge in mid-air. There's no point in using attack combos because you just get interrupted, and you can't cancel your attacks by dodging. The bosses are easier (fairer) than normal enemies because they have telegraphs and room to manoeuvre.

Overall I had a good time, soured a little by late-game enemies getting cheap shots.
