After many nonstop hours, I've finally decided to write a review for this game. What can I say? Ever since my friend gifted me this game back in late March 2019, I've been extremely addicted to it; playing 3-4 average hours every day.
I did play Siege back when it was in open beta in 2015 on PS4, but I had zero idea what I was doing and barely remember anything at all, and honestly, I've improved significantly since then. The game has a big learning curve, but after a couple of hundred hours invested into the game, you'll get used to the game's mechanics and have a knowledge of the maps' layout - which is necessary if you're planning to roam in defense, or to just attack in general.

Honestly, despite the toxicity and the smurfs on PC, this game is the best game I've ever played to date.
This is a strategic, slow-paced game, unlike games like CoD where you die and just respawn with no consequences to your actions. In this game, every player of the 5 in your team matters, unless you or someone else is carrying the whole team. I haven't touched Siege on console ever since the beta back in 2015, but I've been hearing that the console community is WAY worse and more toxic than the PC community. I haven't tried Siege on console myself and have no intention of doing so, but if you want to play this game for the first time, I suggest playing it on PC, because you can flick on enemies and control better, obviously, and from what I've also heard, it doesn't require a beefy PC - just get an SSD for the sake of your teammates. Of course I can't determine how well it performs on lower-end devices because I usually get 250+ FPS with my high-end PC and graphic settings cranked all the way up.

I'm really surprised that the game didn't die a couple of months after launch, and the new seasons releasing every 3 months (quarter of a year) makes the game more fun because not only do they release 2 new operators (update: now they will release 1 operator per season starting from Y5S3) and a new (or reworked) map, but they also release a ton of fixes and might even change some aspects of the game, whether it is to the better or to the worse.

If you're looking for a strategic, FPS, slow-paced, communication-based, up-to-date game, and also have a decent PC with a monitor above a refresh rate of 60Hz, then look no more, because this game is the best you can get for the price.
