About time. Been waiting on a decent Star Wars flight sim for 12 years.

Early Access Review
I like it.

Solid digital conversion of the elements found in the Gloomhaven board game, and the plans beyond Early Access include a direct conversion of the board game campaign - which is great, since I can look at running individual campaigns outside of the physical board game group I run.

There's a lot of misinformation around, but two *important* things keep coming up in reviews as cons, so let me clear some up (based on reading through Dev info):

1. The current EA build is limited to Adventure Mode, which is randomized and not indicative of the board game

2. Items in Adventure Mode have a degradation timer for scenarios, but this *will not* be present in the campaign mode

Currently there's work being done on adjusting UI, fixing bugs, testing and the like. But, compared to other EA games I've tried, this is a solid and fun experience overall.

My recommendation:

If you like (or love) Gloomhaven, get involved and take part in EA. It will help the Devs and the game.

If you're kind of interested, get involved and take part in EA. Gloomhaven has a way of reeling you in and revealing layers of interest.

If you're not interested, watch some videos, do some research about the board game and then decide.

Either way, I'm liking it, and I think the EA cost was well worth the experience/fun so far. Plus, the game will be increasing in cost on full release, so saving now for a solid digital conversion of the board game later is a bonus for me.

Surprisingly fun. It's like a trip back to the Starlancer days.
