OH my god. That's all I have to say after playing whats available right now. I came from Slay the Princess, as I'm sure quite a few people did and ohh man this was not at ALL what I was expecting. Genuinely I haven't had something captivate me and keep me at the edge of my seat quite like this game did in a VERY long time. I'm so excited to see what comes next.

I'm still very early into the game but man, its so good. This is what I wished Diablo 4 was. The aesthetic, the skills, the music, the world- This is exactly what I've been looking for. I loved POE and this is just more of that but better in my opinion. The challenge is there from the beginning and that's a great change of pace from the ARPGs I've played in the past. Genuinely, this game is shaping up to be one of the, if not the best ARPG out there. Diablo 2 is my all-time favorite but I could see this potentially dethroning it and being my number 1.

TLDR- is great and awesome :)

Its okay. If steam had a "meh" or mixed recommendation I would choose that, but because the game isn't bad I'm giving it a thumbs up. This is for sure better than overwatch, the characters are unique with their skill sets and overall moment to moment gameplay is solid. I'm thinking maybe i just don't like hero shooters anymore because I'm just feeling very underwhelmed. Which maybe will be contradictory to what I said previously but eh.

Anyway, love the art style and the look of the characters, the monetization seems to be looking good so far, and its free so no reason not to give it a shot. k thanks bye

We spent an hour or so exploring with a random person we met, encountered a group of wizards, got ash baby'd and fought a really mean crab.

Oh yeah the community is super nice and wholesome too

10/10 would get flashbanged again

Dragon's Dogma 2 proved to be an incredibly enjoyable experience for me. As a fan of the first installment, which I still revisit yearly, I was thrilled to dive into this sequel. The combat mechanics remain engaging and dynamic, while the game world continues to impress with its seamless integration, diverse environments, and vibrant visuals. The sheer beauty of the game is undeniable.

However, I must admit some disappointment with the storyline. The narrative in the original game was gripping, and witnessing its twists and turns was unforgettable. In Dragon's Dogma 2, certain aspects of the story felt underdeveloped, and my actions didn't carry the weight I had hoped for. Even defeating the final boss and achieving the "good" ending lacked the sense of accomplishment I craved. Nonetheless, without delving into spoilers, the true ending offered an enjoyable experience, with new areas to explore adding a refreshing element to the game.

Overall, Dragon's Dogma 2 remains a highly enjoyable experience, particularly for its captivating combat system and diverse vocations. Despite my reservations about the storyline, there's undeniable merit in the game that makes it worth playing, even if it may not be deemed a "must-see" experience.
