While the gameplay itself is good, the lack of crunch/impact on a lot of things leaves much to be desired compared to the previous games. I was expecting this game to expand on the concepts of the second, but this feels like a reversion. The core is fun, but I would definitely recommend waiting for a sale as this game isn't nearly as deep in the mechanics as the second one, for this price tag.

I don't often write reviews. This game made me. Please give me a reason to throw more money at you (DLC, skins, etc)! Your system of progression/unlocks/evolution is super satisfying and I very much want to see more! IMO this game is undoubtedly worth the $2.99.
