I'll write a proper review in the future when I finish all 100 endings. But for now having cleared 26/100 I can already say this is incredible and worth the purchase!

This game might be my Game of the Year.
It's not only amazing for people that love tactics and strategy games but also casual players that want to experience a rich and well written characters and world.

I played the game on Hard and did as many confidence challenges as I could in the first try. I'm not saying this to flex but to sell the game to people that enjoy hard challenges and puzzles. Some stages kept me for over 40 minutes trying to piece a solution that could get all the confidence challenges done. It is very satisfying and I think the hard difficulty is just right for people that enjoy this kind of thing.
That is not to say that only hardcore players will enjoy this, the game is so well designed that you will have fun playing in any difficulty.

If you're looking for similar games to know if you like this I think this game reminds me a lot not only of tactics games like Gloomhaven but it also reminds me a lot of Mimimi games (Shadow tactics/Desperados III/Shadow Gambit) where you think up a whole combo with your characters and see it play out. You'll rack your brain not only to win the combat but also do it in style.

The story also surprised me, the dialogue is very fun and well written, it also has a moment where the narrative is told not only in dialogue but also in gameplay, it was amazingly done.

All in all I deeply recommend this game for anyone that likes the strategy genre or just people that would enjoy the sillyness of wizards in military garbs.

If you played and liked any of the Momodora games you can stop reading here and just buy the game, you'll absolutely enjoy it.
If you never played Momodora before, but are interested in Metroidvanias or 2d action games, I also think you'll really like it.

This game is the culmination and a love letter to the whole Momodora series. The main plot is standalone, so it's not absolutely necessary to play the previous games to enjoy this one (and there is a handy summary), but I highly recommend you do to get all the little nods and references to the previous games.

This game is at the same time true to the classic tropes of the series but it also changes up the momodora formula a bit, but in ways that i ended up really liking.
I was unsure at first about the secrets being marked in the map, but in the end it was still challenging to find ways to access them and it didn't bother me.
Managing Stamina for dodges and the bow made boss fights really tense and memorable to me.
There's also the amazing addition of boss rush mode, that is always a plus in my book.
And it has fishing! What more do you want?

Speaking of boss fights, bombservice has not lost his edge and delivered amazing boss fights on par with the bests in the series (and one i consider one of my favorite boss fights overall)

I would also be remiss not to mention the art and animations of this game. They are absolutely stellar, truly one of the most beautiful pixel metroidvanias that i've seen lately. Not only Momo's animations are amazing but the bosses to, the team managed to craft cinematic experiences that I will not forget anytime soon with their art.

I cleared the game 111% and it was a pretty good time overall, my expectations for this game were great, and even then they were exceeded.
But I'm a big fan of the series, so your mileage may vary.

All in all this is a very messy review, but if you want to take anything from it, is that the game is good, beautiful, polished and I loved it.

Very fun Metroidvania.
The platforming with grappling hook is fun and creative, and I love how much the grapple is also important in combat.
Definitely worth a try!

The Combat and Rice gameplay loop are both amazing. Exploration is fun and the story is surprisingly good.
All characters really grew on me.

Simply amazing.
This is Uchikoshi's masterpiece.

The humor may not be for everyone but the narrative is rich and mysterious, with well written characters.

If you enjoyed any of the other momodora games I think it's safe to say you'll enjoy this one too.
You can really see how much rdein and bombservice grew as developers over the titles. Minoria tries many new things, most of them hit, some of them miss, but overall it's a fun game with great visuals and a compelling story.

If you are considering getting this game I highly recommend it if you enjoy metroidvanias or platformers in general.
But if you get it and find yourself dying a lot don't get disheartened! You'll eventually get better and the game will give you more options to fight as well.

Here's the summary of the points.

The Good:
- Combat allows for diverse approachs to fights specially later on
- Fran
- Archive and item descriptions are nice to read and collect
- Visuals. the 3d is quite neat and the environments are all really pretty.

The Bad:
- Damage and low health feedback could be slightly better
- Early game difficulty curve could be better for beginners

The Best:
- Fran

Absolutely Stellar.
One of the best action platformers I've played.
Makes the best of sakuya's famous moves to create engaging combat and platforming.

One of the best platformers I ever played.
It's stunningly beautiful, with tight controls and interesting mechanics.
And above all that an amazing world an story that drags you in.

If you like sidescroller/plataformers this game is a must play. There's no other quite like it, as it differs from other plataformers in many aspects.
This game has some ideas and mechanics inspired by Souls games, that blend surprisingly well in a 2D game.

The level design is more or less open to explore and filled with shortcuts, which makes it interesting to replay as you have to tackle the enemies from another angle or fight bosses with different abilities.

Even with simple combat mechanics, the game is rich and very fun to play.
I've spent more than 17 hours playing and replaying it and still find myself wanting more.

Highly recommend trying to play pacifist and the Insane (OHKO) difficulty.
