As an official creator for the game I can't quite grasp what and where they went wrong with the release. While it's known to not play an MMO on release day or on patch day I felt like there have been many things changed and not to the better.

Within the 1.4 hours I've already encountered many things which shouldn't be there or are back in the game. As much as I love the concept but let me break down the things that made me slightly sour:

- I either have a spontaneous lost of eyesight or there has been a graphic downgrade. On highest settings everything looks like well a blurry mobile game. This wasn't the case in the betas nor the demo

- You can't choose your haircolor properly anymore and I have the feel you later on have to pay for different variants for it

- The design of Mitsuko looks more "fckable" but also well why? Do we need to do that to catch the horny bois? (personal preference tho so you can ignore that point)

- EULA I also made the mistake of not reading in the past the EULA cause I wouldn't think of a STEAM game collecting the data of: my credit card info, my bank info, my profile and password, my exact address, the information about what I consume and click on in the webs, my social media and more. THIS IS A FCKN DANGER

- animations apparently don't work as intended and got changed partially to way less animated options like basically everything with your pickaxe or how enemies die

- the one character per server and account which is not deletable is a known bug that they want to change but still horrible for launch day

- Wrong and partially still not existing translation of objects which should've been fixed by now (or so I hoped)

- many enemies looking like plastic figures cause of the graphics (V included)

- endlessly loading chat and not sending messages

- fell through the map a couple of times

- enemies bugged in the ground

All in all I said it in the past and I will say it again. The game should've put more time into development than into it's advertisement. While I also find reviewspamming ♥♥♥♥ I can see where people are coming from and I know that this release will hurt the game enough that the playercount won't recover.

I will change my recommendation as soon as things change to the better. But I am not a creator that is sugarcoating things that should've been evened out long ago by all it's betas and demo.

So my recommendation is: wait a bit for a couple of patches. I will do too. And DO NOT PLAY it without reading the EULA my dudes.

cheers!

First off: The Devs of this game gave me a key for free over Lurkit. BUT I will not, and I repeat WILL NOT for my own sanity praise the game for something it's not.

We all know about the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, that has happened over on X (Former Twitter) and what happened with people getting banned for negative reviews in the community hub at launch.

I really tried to go without any negative feelings in the game and tried even harder to find anything good about it that would justify the price of 30$.

Pro: The Voiceacting is decent even tho the game itself makes it hard to fit.
We bewitched our pug

Cons: We start with the story:
The story progress is forced, characters are not properly introduced and development is simply not there. Plots and infodum(b)ps are thrown in left and right and I have the bad feeling that longer "Lore" was actually written by chat GPT. Overall it felt like some mid 40's dude thought "hey I can be an author too and that's totally how the cool kids talk"

Gameplay: It makes no sense why we walk all of a sudden around with a deagle, lose MARTHA in between while she's casually waiting already for us at the end of riddle passages and just shoot our way through repetetive monsters.

Besides of that the gunplay feels clunky and while our character is yelling we get out of ammo, we have every 5m an ammo stash. And don't let me start on the bad and repetetive "jumpscares" Or the overall mid to bad incoherent level design and why we have med cabinets whacked on a tree in the middle of nowhere.

Atmosphere: I'll make it short here: there is none. unfitting voicelines, unscary jumpscares without context to story and we even have "bosses" ....

So even tho some things were unwillingly funny, for the love of god. PLEASE just save your money and invest in a good game from other actually trying indie horror devs. For example EMIKA games.

Gamma Minus as an indie development studio has dared to bring a breath of fresh air into the dusty noir board game genre and you can see and feel it! With Rough Justice we jump into the year 1984 and as an ex-con we have to help our good friend who is in trouble with his detective agency. With well thought out mini-games, agent micromanagement, leveling and a touch of DnD we uncover step by step all sorts of underworld machinations. The story dialogs are lovingly dubbed and the entire gameplay is accompanied by 80's music.

Rough Justice is also something for the eye and for bookworms. The lovingly designed art style of the 80's lets young and older  indulge in nostalgia while the very well elaborated biographies of the individual detectives fit harmoniously into the scenario.

An absolute MUST for every nostalgic and those who have a love for detective stories!

Positive points
- The graphic and art style are beautiful
- Minigames on different difficulties actually feel like it's worth playing them
- No feel of constanly repeating "quests"
- Gameplay mechanics actually feel rewarding
- Very good and easy to understand tutorials (if you don't skip through everything)
-lots of Minigames and different "quest types"

Negative points
- Dice rolls are RNG and can feel sometimes a bit unfair
- Hardest difficulty puzzles can frustrate you a lot depending on the minigame
- You want to open up your own detective agency and cut yourself a mullet

The first game I'm writing a review. So here we go:

Scorn 4,5/10 Pretty looks and artsy nice atmosphere but it tries that too much while it's lacking on proper gameplay. A lot of it felt like they need to stretch time. Many bugs at the moment and frustrating weaponplay/enemyencounters. The amount of times enemies were more annoying because of their ranged attacks in combination with weaponplay that is slow and clunky while you only can get ammo and life once per station (which are rare) is a thing for itself.

The puzzles that were in the game were in my opinion mostly there to slow down the already slow pacing of the game to get a longer playtime in it. reactive puzzles and a switch one where I'm quiet sure some people WILL ragequit or try to look up a guide.

You will encounter especially after release quiet a lot of graphic bugs that might get you killed multiple times as well as AI just not caring about anything. Don't question the story as well because there is barely anything. You have to let your fantasy float a lot to find anything about the story. Nothing to read about only enviromental storytelling that barely works because some areas simply look the same.

Of course there are breathtaking areas where I was also just standing around and taking screenshots! But with all the more okish to even frustrating experience I'm simply not satisfied.

Recon you maybe get it for 10 bucks sometime

kurz und knapp einfach niedlich. Obwohl es nervt, bei einer falschen Antwort immer von vorne anfangen zu müssen^^
