It's a very pretty game. I really enjoyed the visuals and the interface. Quite a quick game, at least for one of the endings I got. Cannot wait to unlock the other endings.

Good jump-scares. Gripping storyline. Puzzles require use of logic here and there to make the whole thing less predictable, even during the find-the-objects segments. I like that they used a female protagonist instead of a male one. It's always nice when 'the princess' gets to save 'the prince' instead.

The word 'gripping' on the back of every novel on this Earth will be questioned for its testimony once you pick up this dark piece of literature. You are going to play the part of Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady, who committed suicide right at the start of the visual novel. Definitely a gripping point of entry. From there on, Susan's world flirts with surrealism of life, death, and everything in between. Not convinced? Explore the human desires at their filthiest. Events that happened to Susan testify the capability and culpability of the most heinous of criminal minds. And you could only watch in horror as they happen to Susan. Is there any room to breathe at all? Yes. Susan's sarcastic wit and serendipitous friend's positivity gave some light to the darkness of Susan's world. You could feel, no, you WOULD feel for them and for the rest of humanity as well at the end of the day. The art concept is a brilliant work of noir. The blends of black and white with distinctive colours were well-executed. I thought that the juxtaposing of illustrations with real life photographs aided that surreal effect. The soundtracks and sound effects were on point. What about cats? Well, just when you think they play no greater part than to fluff up Susan's poignancy as a character, you will be surprised. The game mechanics are simple. You interact with the environment using arrow keys and the 'Enter' key. No use for the mouse at all. I do have a little beef with the save system. It does not allow you to overwrite nor delete your saves. However, it may prove to be useful that way as you may want to try different options to unlock hidden achievements or end up with different reactions/results. The choices you make matters... sometimes.

This game totally caught me by surprise. It started with a cliche about saving the world and I thought it was going to be one of those dull sci-fi plots but as the story progressed, a lot of issues were explored with regards to that theme. The costs and consequences of our actions on the environment, the triggers needed to make us change our habits, and the ethos of different minded-individuals were questioned. The dramatics were well played out; the soundtrack compliments each scene perfectly, the build-ups to climatic events were exciting, and the graphics were outstanding in their details -- the images used had the right angles and impacts on the viewer. The game mechanics are simple, based on interactions with the environment through point-and-click. The challenging part of the game is more of its mental aspect. You have to use a bit of logic and maintain a lot of awareness of your environment or else you will miss out items or tasks integral to the story's progress. What I really like about this visual novel is its comic-styled graphics. It's like seeing a comic book played out in motion to you during its cut scenes and it places you in the comic book world when you are playing the game. Aside from a few subtitle errors and delays as well as frustrations that come with figuring things out, this game is a great puzzle action game. Also, it helps that you can skip some of the mind-boggling puzzles. You can get Steam achievements out of succeeding them as well as skipping them. Is it replayable? If you are an achievement-♥♥♥♥♥, then yes, there are things to play for so make multiple saves at various points if you do not wish to go back to the beginning all over again. If not, once is enough, which is about the only other discouragement from getting the game.
