306 Hours played
UPDATE: I am now at 267 hours in the game, over double what I had when I wrote my review. The game has evolved at a slow but steady pace, and to me, it's continued to improve the base of the game with each new change. These guys LOVE this game and continue to support it without asking to pay for any of these updates. I know how much of a demon Murray was to the internet when the game released, but I had always seen him as somebody who was excited to make the game he wanted to make and didn't get the time necessary to release that game. Instead, he and his team worked on the game year after year, to craft something that is a sandbox game in space that doesn't have endless possibilities, but instead offers you a freedom with limitations that I honestly appreciate. This IS my go-to relaxing game.

Honestly, I still don't feel like I have enough time to properly leave my thoughts on this game, but I'll try.

Didn't get wrapped up in the pre-release discussions, but did purchase it day one for PS4. Enjoyed it for a bit, then sold it. A year or so back, decided to grab it on PC. Put a few hours in, but it wasn't until the NEXT update that I was drawn in deep. I started playing. I bummed around some planets, some systems, just exploring... And honestly, 127 hours later, I am still doing just that. I've wrapped up some "quests" but with this game... For me, it is about the journey. I am searching for that perfect planet to craft a base on that feels like home... That I can just sit and feel like I am somewhere else.

If you're looking for things to do, I can understand you won't find a lot to enjoy with No Man's Sky. But for me, it is part of what I do. I get on every once in awhile and just explore. Find new worlds. Always searching for the place that truly feels like my own.
