I will update my review later about the story and gameplay itself but I wanted to say for those of you who are scared to buy this game because of the bad reviews complaning about performance, the game runs perfectly well. I don't know how it launched but as of now for me it runs very smoothly and I don't have a incredibly expensive PC. From my understanding people still complain because they have very expensive hardwares but can't max this game. I also lowered the graphic settings quite a bit but not as far as making the game look bad by any means. (I even play in native resolution with upscalers turned off, getting around 110-120 fps.)

I have played every 'hit' game in the last 10 years. This one is easily top 3 for me, if not the best. There is nothing wrong about it. This is truly the perfect game. Progression, gameplay, art direction, music, gearing, skills, story are all 10/10. Worth every penny, a must-play game. There is one small 'problem' that I need to say though. You can't turn off vignette, SSR and bloom. I like to play games with a plain look and the game can feel a bit oversharpened at the start. But the game is a literal art piece and looks beautiful so the lacking of those options aren't a big deal but still I wish I had the freedom to turn them off. Also I have played all FromSoft titles and this game is not as hard as those but not an easy game. The difficulty was perfect for a game like this. I can keep prasing this game forever but I will stop now.

Negative reviews are by ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that can't win their ranked games. They are the type of people that think BP is good. Don't listen to those. This is game is the best thing that happened for live service games. Gameplay is super fun, you don't need me to tell you that. But the art direction in general is also just 'wow'. Music, character and skin designs, story telling and character interections, no words are enough to praise those. I thought no game would be able to top Overwatch in terms of those aspects. Also the game is very F2P friendly with event rewards, you won't be stuck with default skins forever even if you don't spend. I am so happy that eastern companies are saving gaming.

This game is near perfect to me but there are some flaws that I want to talk about. Before writing about those, I need to say combat is the best third person action I have ever played. You can flow everything into each other so perfectly, animation cancel skills, dodging and parrying are responsive and feels amazing. Music is amazing as well. I wasn't expecting to hear these types of soundtracks on this game. Gearing and RPG elements are very well designed and balanced. No need to say but graphics and ambiance are perfect. Story is very good and interesting but the story and character writing are where I have some problems. A must-play game and an incredible experience.

Most of the characters are written amazingly well. Kratos, Atreus, Mimir, Thor, Faye are some examples which I have nothing bad to say but some characters are written so cheesy and 'modern American'. I hated all the Vanir gods. Their dialogue and story elements are so low quality for the setting. They did an amazing Freya in the first game but they ruined her so much. It is hard to explain in a review but they feel out of place and boring. They all just talk about how much they hate Odin and do nothing else to elevate the story. The other writing flaw in my opinion is Odin, he is also very 'American' but that is not all. You are supposed to hate the guy as a player and want to make him stop his 'corruption' but you can't hate the guy. I know that he killed Brok and Thor, imprisoned Freya, manipulated everyone and every race, tortured creatures and people for his benefit and more. I know everything. But they wrote the guy to be so pityfull. Also his reason for all this is 'knowledge' which doesn't help. Everyone talks about how manipulative, selfish and evil he is but they wrote and designed him bad which makes it hard for the player to get into that mindset. The ending is the same ending as The Witcher 3. Atreus and Ciri are written very similarly at the end. But for Kratos's ending, it was a very creative and emotional thing to see people praying to him. Apart from these the story is amazing to say the least. Even made me cry. They could have done a far polished job on the writing but this game is a masterpiece nonetheless.

Blizzard taking all the L's. First the Overwatch killer, now the Diablo killer. Best ARPG I have ever played.

For the Emperor!

They captured the 30s vibe very well. Very cool characters with an interesting Italian mafia story. But the game is very short and gameplay leaves much to be desired. This was more like watching a movie than playing a video game.

This game is art. Presantation, music, animations, sound design, environments send chills down your spine. Especially if you are into far eastern history and culture. Aside from all that, the gameplay is one of the smoothest 3rd person sword action I have ever played. It never gets stale because of different mechanics and builds. I was very surprised about build variants. I also just want to recommend playing the game in Japanese. I know it was first voice acted in English but Japanese voice actors went hard.

MINOR SPOILER

The moment where you unlock the ''slaughter'' mechanic was something else. That was perfection for story development and gameplay introduction. I felt all kinds of things. Easily one of the top-tier moments in any game for me. Yarikawa!

The Japan fanboy in me is constantly getting huge dopamine rushes while playing this. The game is beautiful.

No words are enough to praise this game. I could start writing about how perfect every aspect of this is but I wouldn't feel like I've said enough. Also I really enjoy and pay attention to music in video games and this is the best I have ever heard. Buy this game now and start playing. Don't be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and say things like 'But I don't like turn-based RPG's.'
